I was recently making a messageboard of my own for my website and this website brought back memories so i decited to come back to this fourm. I see that at the top of your page it shows the image and then the links THEN the "Hello [Name] You have [x] Messages" how do you get it below the piture and the links? Also on your main page it normally says, "Old" "Old" "Old" "Old" "New" "Old" "New" "New" How do you change the images? When i made mine the only image it gives me is the Folder with the grey dot. I changed it to say Old but how do I make one that says "New"?

To move the "Hello, x" below the table, you have to use a code and place it in the headers/footers section of the admin panel. Proboards Support has a rather large database with the javascript required to play with your forum, and they provide full instructions on where to place them, and how to use the in general. To change the images, you go into Skins/Forum colors, then customize images. Choose the layout which you want to edit the images for, then enter in the url of the picture you want to change the image to.

Hmmm, Are you talking about New and Old buttons on the left hand side of the boards, in the little square?
If so, there is a page in Modify Skins/Forum Colors where you can change the links to default forum images. Just modify your skin and the link should be at the top of that page. ^_^
The default New/Old buttons are the grey and green folders, I believe, which sounds like what you are reffering to. The reason you get the gray is it comes up when there are no new images, and when you create a board there is no new content in it unless you post.

Ok so your saying that if I put a picture in a board then the icon will go to a green folder that I can change later? If so thank you very much and just one more question. How do people get all their customizable images for their board? I've looked at some and instead of that dumb title thingy they have a cool border image. If I have an image how do I put it on? Omg so many questions. Is there some super smart person I could IM or somthing?

All the customization stuff is reliant on how you code and design your forum. There are numerous guides out there which you can google, but I suggest experimenting. Make a test forum for your site, and play around with coding and stuff until you are satisfied, then use what you liked on your test forum on the real forum.

What version of Paint Shop Pro should I use for making cool pictures? Like the ones on this site? And is it expensive?

What version of Paint Shop Pro should I use for making cool pictures? Like the ones on this site? And is it expensive? The version doesn't matter, what matters is your skill in the program. And I wouldn't know about PSP, I use Photoshop. You can download free trials off numerous sites. Graphics programs are usually expensive, so I suggest downloading trials and seeing how well the program works for you.

Well ummm I usually end up taking somones pictures and just touching them up a bit with more plain colors but Im not so good with comming up with my own images. I use just ordinary Paint. I'm guessing that's bad?

Paint is really basic. You usually produce better results with a professional program such as Photoshop or PSP.

support.proboards.comThat is the proboards support site. They can help you if you are still confused after this. rofl Graphics for your site completely depend on you. I would suggest requesting graphics somewhere. @_@

use the program you can manuver with, I could never get photoshop to work for me EVER.
However, besides browsing the support forum for tips (you need java knowledge to change headers/footers which change the lay out of the forum) you can change the images in the admin section by replacing the default icons with the url of those you have saved on your own picture server such as image shack etc. There are some fun icons out, something for nearly every taste.
I started using special fonts to create Icons, just in MS word and Paint. The imagination is the only thing setting your limits!
