sooo i just downloaded and watched sozins comet and all... and basically... i just wanted to point out that ozai was basically proclaiming himself 'phoenix king' of the fire nation. again. correct me if im wrong but, the north pole was successfully defended by the avatar, and only ba sing se had fallen to the fire nation. So, in the current state of affairs, the airbending temples have all been destroyed and/or abandoned, the southern water tribe is useless and weak and of little consequence to ozai, the northern tribe is still intact and totally under waterbender control, and ozai's about to roast the entire earth kingdom countryside, leaving his only inhabitable and useful territory: the fire nation. .... ooookkkk i can imagine if it had all gone as planned, the conversation he might have with azula: ozai: so listen azula... im gonna have to uh... use this palace ... and throne room and all of this stuff here at home for awhile cuz i just torched our brand new territory. yea didnt think that through... i mean, we'll still call you firelord and all, but... thats my seat. i want it back now. azula: RAAAAWWWRRR CRAZY CRAZY LOST MY MARBLES!!!!! ozai:throw her in prison I understand that he probably wanted to repopulate the EK with FN citizens but after conquering Omashu and Ba Sing Se it appeared that there wasn't much more resistance to the FN so I kinda wonder why he decided to burn it to the ground too.

chrometatertot: ozai wanted to start fresh... basically when he said "we'll rain fire over the lands, and from the ashes all of the land will be fire nation.".. now from that, he wanted to kill all of the earth kingdom and repopulate it with firenation citizens and him being the "Pheonix King"of the world. ok so he going to torch the earth kingdom.... then what? Oazi would have not the earth kingdom but a big pile of ash!! "woooo whooo!! i get to rule over ash and the nation i was just ruling over before! but now i got more land that is useless to me!!! because it has no inhabitants, and there is surly not enough people in the fire nation to fill it!! oh! and i forgot to say, i have colonies in the earth kingdom! am torching them too!! but i rule the world!! except for the water tribes!" If you ask me Oazi's plan was not very well thought threw.

Sigh. I can't believe its pretty much over. Is there anything else left to be revealed?! Maybe a secret SEASON4!ZOMGLOLZ. I hope so. Yeah I can see the previews for it now...*some kind of dramatic heart beat sounds and a creepy announcer starts talking* In a world thousands were captivated by,where all of the elements that once raged against on another in a war that last over one hundred years learned to live in harmony...*insert avatar music here*...there are still so many questions left (Zuko Clip: Where is my mother?)...Avatar: The Last Airbender, Season 4: Air....(Aang Clip: The Avatar is Back!)...then insert osme date somewhere... that would be pretty cool....

I only just realised that Zhao had already come up with the brilliant plan to burn Ba Sing Se to the ground upon Sozin's Comet's return during the Blue Spirit episode in Season 1. So much for an original plan, Ozai!

^Haha, I never connected the two. I guess after Aang escaped the copy of his speech never reached Ozai after all. xD

^^ Yeah. Its still quite neat how it turned out that by the end of Season 3 (as Sokka so succintly put it) "“The new plan is the old plan." for both Aang and Ozai.

that was kinda an insault to me, althought it was cute seeing Toph hold Zuko's arm, but I felt Toph telling Zuko about her parents and then have Zuko kinda shall I say, brush her off, kinda angered me. Honestly? Yes, that was also my first reaction, but I decided it wasn't worth getting angry about. I guess Mike and Bryan thought it would be funny, but it came off as rude and insensitive. I'm not going to get angry about it since I doubt they meant it that way, but I was irritated that that Zuko bled his heart out to Toph and was comforted by her and then he brushes her off when she tries to do the same. Sometimes I don't get the writer's sense of humor. I would have liked more bonding between Toph and Zuko too. But like it or not, Zuko was right. They did have more important things to think about than Toph's life story at that time. I think he had been listening patiently for a while already but decided it was time to think about Aang and his whereabouts.

I really have no complaints about Sozin's Comet. I absolutely love it.
A lot of people seem perturbed by the whole spirit bending thing. For me, Aang finding a way to defeat Ozai without having to take his life, fits with his character and what we've learned about him through all 3 seasons. Aang abhors violence. If he can do anything to avoid it, he will. Maybe the spirit bending idea came out of left field....I'll accept it as yet another ability the Avatar has, unknown to us before.
Highlights for me(and most people it seems):
- the music......beautiful, emotional -Iroh/Zuko reunion I cried. It was done so well and it made me so happy to finally see those two together again - Iroh's wonderful comments about Zuko ie that he's pure of heart, an idealist and has unquestionable honour and so will make a wonderful Fire Lord. If Iroh thinks Zuko can do it, then he can - liked Zuko going after Aang during the beach party....way to wake everyone up Zuko - group hug!!!! - Sokka, Suki and Toph on the airships. I heart Sokka. He has the coolest plans and his birthday gag was classic. Sokka hanging on to Toph, losing his sword and boomerang. -Katara's little pep talk to Zuko before he saw Iroh was sweet -White Lotus dudes rock! Iroh and his awesome breath of fire with the comet's power behind him and the burning of the Fire Nation flag in Ba Sing Se were great. - Azula losing it. I almost felt bad for her. Part of says that she deserves it, though. Someone who's looked on in glee while her brother was scarred by her father is pretty awful. - Agni Kai awe inspiring -Aang/Ozai was epic....love the whole orange sky - Maiko!!!!! sweet and Mai is glowing -Aang/Zuko hug and their declaration of friendship was a long time coming . I was sooo happy to see it. -Zuko's coronation and speech - gaang in the tea shop(yay for including Mai). Everyone seems so content and relaxed. They need and deserve that. I love the fact that Zuko's become quite the little tea maker and is happy to serve it to everyone.

Yeah, I guess most of us would like to know the full story of Ursa. But, it would have been a short tacked on explanation, if they had used the bit they storyboarded. Zuko/Ursa deserve more than that. Maybe one day, we'll find out.

They could have at least put something on the boxset, but they didn't. Seeing as how 90% of their fan-base wanted to see a reunion or at least find out what happened to her, this was a slap in the face. Maybe they couldn't have fit it in on TV, but that's what all the EXTRAS are for on dvd's. To them their story is over, but to a huge amount of fans, there are too many questions left for it to be over in our minds. When I'm a grandmother, I'll still be bit*&ing about the fact we don't know what happened to Ursa. She and Zuko were so close, it would have been nice to get closure on it no matter what the end was.

True enough...they could have put something on the boxset. I don't know what they're waiting for. At least we can believe that she's alive(since they did storyboard a reunion). Zuko just has to find her. His determination and drive combined with his love for Ursa will definitely help in his quest. Zuko's life would be pretty complete the, wouldn't it? Awww at really happy Zuko.

They could have at least made the storyboards public...
But then...with all Zuko did before his epiphany...does he really deserve a happy ending?
