I think I spotted a hint of worry in Zuko's voice when he said "She's not going to make it..." He's too kind.
Man, Azula's finally cracked, now that she's lost control. Power has corrupted her.
And I actually laughed when Zuko cracked that joke around the campfire. xD

Personally, I felt this was not a very good episode at all. I don't really understand how so many people can rate it so high. The only good part I would say was the WAT raid scene, the flashbacks, and the Sokka tent scene, which was hilarious. After that it just became predictable and rushed.
My first complaint is that the whole episode seemed pretty random and filler. I saw this more as fan service than anything else. Zuko just happens to know about the Southern Raiders? Fine I guess it is believable. Zuko just happens to know where the general who has retired four years ago lives? Not very believable. Also finding Katara's mother's killer does pertain to the plot at hand in the least and could have easily been skipped with no ill effects to the story. You could have used just about any subject you wanted for a reason for Katara to trust Zuko.
Second Zuko was TOTALLY OOC when he suggested to Katara that she exact revenge on the guy who killed her mother which added to the randomness of it, IMO. After everything Zuko has gone through, you would think he would know that revenge was not the best choice. Going to get revenge seems like something season 2 Zuko would want to do. It was also weird seeing Katara trust Zuko so quickly and easily. How did she know Zuko was not lying, why would she trust someone she has threated to kill and thinks is two-timing everyone to take her to a location only he knows about to find a person who he claims to know?
Also, the whole thing felt rushed. By the time the main plot really started, the episode was over! The confrontation between Katara and the killer did not feel tearjerking or epic in anyway, just rushed and awkward. The whole episode felt like they cut out a bunch of scenes. It did not feel...whole.
In conclusion, it just did not live up to the hype in my eyes. It was not the WORST episode in the series but its down there on my list. Maybe I need to watch it again to fully appreciate it.

I thought that Zuko was going to get nasty glares with that joke. Yayz my post was read. xD Well, Katara glared, I guess that counts. And I don't like how this episode lacked Toph. She needed more lines. But I guess this was just Katara and Zuko bonding episode, like the Aang/Zuko bonding ep, and Sokka/Zuko bonding ep. Which makes me wonder if there will be a Toph/Zuko bonding episode?

Okay. I admit it. I slept through it. Not my fault! I had housework and I was tired! So when I woke up...
"there's no place like home!"
Arrgghhhh! Not Family Matters!
Yep. And I can't find the next broadcast of the episode. On Demand doesn't have it either. Tried Graboid... nope. Torrent? Forget it!
sigh... I'm getting to be an emo like Zuko (Rufio!).

You have not slept through in vain! If they continue their current trend, they'll probably air it directly before The Ember Island Players tomorrow, @ 7:30. Right before The Firebending Masters, they aired WAT again, before TBR they aired TFM, and before TSR today they aired TBR.

I wanna give Katara a big hug now. She's so awesome, even though she hasn't been her typical "motherly" self, she deserves a big break and a cookie. :3

This was a good episode, but I was expecting too much out of it. The preview looked amazing, it was just...not what I had hoped. It seemed like Sokka and Aang's adventures with Zuko had a lot of development of each of their characters but at the same time developed their relationships with Zuko. This episode didn't seem to have that at all, it was all about Katara. Katara's forgiveness of Zuko seemed to come out of nowhere, and her confrontation with the man who killed her mother was anticlimactic to me. Yes, he was pathetic, and yet, if he wasn't pathetic, would she have let him live just the same? Probably, but only because she was Katara and for no other reason. She stopped for no reason, she was just as angry, just as hate-filled, and she didn't forgive him. So far she didn't do anything but let him live, which is better than killing him, but without forgiveness I don't see how she would find any peace. It was just...stopped. The negative said, Sokka was awesome in this episode. Not only him, but the guy who killed Katara's mom. Honestly, the only thing I could think of the man after seeing how he lived with his mom was "Gah, letting him live seems to be better torture." Then the "take my mom, we'll be even!" I felt more sorry for Hakoda in the last flashback of Katara to be honest. Sure she was a little girl, but just think how he felt? All I can think is that how many regrets he must have had that he didn't show to his children, that he didn't get there on time, that he should have saved her and been protecting her. Gah, I'm tearing up just thinking about it I know that Katara was in a lot of pain, but I really just felt for Hakoda there, even though I probably should feel sorry for Katara considering that she now knows that essentially her mom died because of her. I'm surprised there wasn't more angst about that.

I'm surprise that Bryke was daring enough to show those Sokka/Suki moment. Granted I love every moment of it, but I can't help but think they were hinting towards youthful love. If you guys catch my drift, maybe its because I'm a guy.....I'm just saying, pretty suspicious to me. I mean sneaking in the same tent and cuddling in the dark, but candles? roses? incent? OH SOKKA!! lol
I think Bryan and Mike realize that the majority of the avatar fans are around the teenage-adult audience. I wonder if they ever air a new avatar series, I wonder will it ever be on Nick anymore? I think the series evolve into something too epic for Nick to handle.

That sucks you missed it guys, cause it was freaking awesome. Anyways I loved how the action started right away. Totally didn't expect it after the slow starts of the last episodes. I won't Zutara spaz on you....taking away lots of my posts, but I did appreciate it. I didn't like the part with the killer and his mom. Unnecessary and annoying IMO. I really liked the flashbacks to the SWT. S and K were so adorable. And it was so sad, but a great scene. Did anyone else not see the raven fish or whatever the flag was though? BLOODBENDING! Total HOLY SH!T moment. Not expected at all. I was genuinely shocked by a lot of the episode, which hasn't happened much recently. I thought it was so good.

Ahh! By then it may be on YouTube Ouch, just thinking about what Katara, Sokka, and Hakoda must've felt there... Yeah, that's very sad. She was so little, too! Having to see what happened to her mother :/
