historyman12: Well your argument (and I guess Yiceman's) sounds a lot like when people were griping over the FN4's problems and how it couldn't compare to the Gaang's problems and that they had no right to complain.
Erm...who are the FN4?
Sure Zuko was burned and banished. But in the end, he still had Iroh there to guide him (and his mom's "memory"). Who does Azula have?
You make a valid point. But, Iroh seems to know what's going on. He's Mr. Dr. Professor Captain Sage of the show. If he doesn't like Azula, methinks there's a reason. The show wouldn't go so far to show Iroh as Mr. Dr. Professor Captain Sage, and then have him irrationally hate Azula.
Because the girl just realized that her closest friends didn't care for her;
I'm just going to isolate this. She basically said to Ty Lee in 203, I'll dam well kill you if you don't join me. What message can you possibly send by doing what she did. She also kills/ maims people, AND LOVES IT. She was happy that she surprise attacked and killed Iroh. She was dam happy when she shot Aang In the back(!) watch any western, and you'll know what that is to symbolize. It's not that she did it, so much as that she loved it. Even if Aang and Iroh are her enemies, a a balanced person doesn't react like that. They seem rather unhappy at the sight of death. The only time I have EVER seen happyness in caused death is if the other person is trying to kill you too. Iroh wasn't. Aang CAN'T kill someone and stay sane. The sane person doesn't do this (hint-crotch chop) after killing someone, which Azula may as well have done.
her father obviously cannot love;
True enough, but he gave Azula the closest thing he had to it. Though you are right.
and she believes her mother doesn't love her.
Adolf Hitler believed he was doing the world a favor by killing the Jews. Charlie Manson thought the Apocalypse was right around the corner, and he was doing a good thing by killing people. Thought does not make one right or true.
In addition, Iroh doesn't think much of her. (He preached that he believed people should be given a second chance and that he couldn't kill Ozai cuz it would mean more meaningless bloodshed---and YET he didn't hesitate to tell Zuko that she needed to go down in Bitter Work, and he seemed to imply that Zuko should take down Azula at all cost in the finale).
I shall quote my previous statement:

So to say that Azula didn't have it bad or even worst is unfair. Because in the end, that banishment on Zuko, turned out to be good for him (Zuko's own words). He had Uncle. That was real and concrete; while Azula had things hollow and empty.
And if indeed, Azula had it a lot easier than Zuko, her feelings cannot be pushed aside as insignificant because others take things differently. You can't compare things like that because everyone is different and how they react and how they feel to certain situations are different.

Azula was imbalanced. Badly so. She's crazy. Her life was better. Her mother was a good parent. Just like Darry, as Ponyboy realizes in The Outsiders. Azula is simply mad.
Yes Azula is fictional---but even fictional people take things differently.
So? Perspective=/= truth.
(I'll get to the rest in a moment. My mom is calling me for dinner.)
