I guess he deserves a thread of his own. He's just so awesome!
Hired by Zuko to kill the Avatar, Combustion Man is a Firebender with the unique ability to super-heat the air and cause explosions. He does this by focusing and shooting his energy from his tattooed third eye. Combustion Man discovered this ability when he was a young child, but didn't have any control over it, and one day he accidentally blew off his arm and leg. Now, he has a metal arm and leg in their place. He's always been a loner and a man of very few words perfect for his line of work.
What do you think his weakness is? How do you think he will be defeated. I have a feeling Katara learns puppet mastery from "The Pupprt Master" to control CM's body..

Metalbend his arm so that it pierces through his own chest and kills him.

She should just metalbend and force him to punch himself in the face every time he gets ready to fire his brainbeam.

I could imagine. Toph: "Hey Metalman! Do the wave!" *Toph bends his arm/leg to dance* CM: "What the!!" But i think the CM is smart enough.. He'll probably destroy his arm and leg or something.. But imagine Toph metalbending his arm to choke himself.. Its classy

That would be hilarious if Toph played around with him for a bit. But Combustion Man was way too powerful for his own good. Those were some huge explosions.

I still don't think he's strong enough to keep up with Team Avatar, from what I seen in "The Beach".

Ya know, after seeing his power, I think the gAang will be staying away from heavily populated areas for some time, merely for plot purposes. Those explosions were huge, and he would definately draw some attention to himself in a town by looks alone. Something I've been wondering though, do you think he is capable of performing "traditional" firebending? I mean, his powers are cool, but not a lot of variety to be seen...

I hope he actually has a name. XD I'd also like to hear him speak. He sure is tall, though! Mike: That's interesting to think about, would Toph be able to bend his metal limbs? Yea she could. If waterbenders can control people by bending the water in their bodies then metalbenders should be able to control metal parts of people.

Toph's metalbending is not the same as earthbending. It's limited. She has to be touching the metal to bend the impurities left in the metal.

I wasn't a fan of Combustion Man, he just seemed too powerful for his own good. His eye beams destroy everything is a tad bit too realistic. He doesn't fight or do anything besides stand around shooting eyebeams. He reminds me of those comic characters made in the 90s whose entire purpose was to look "cool" and scary in order to appeal to the young boy fanbase. From what I've seen this guy has no depth and will contribute to no development in the overall plot or any of GAang character growh. Here's hoping he gets defeated in the next episode and that will be the last we hear from him.
