^Just like the Maiko was the best part of season three. lol wut? lol scarcasm? Purplejay- I agree. It felt like Avatar was regressing a bit there. I don't know many people over the age of 8 who actually think jokes about bodily functions are funny.

lol irrelevant? The forever girl line was meant to be horrible, and was subsequently quite funny. But as much as I would like for the horrible dialogue Maiko entails to be intentional, I'm afraid the two are very different. And yah, the bodily function joke was a bit of a low point for "The Avatar and the Firelord," which was my favorite episode of at least season 3. Not to mention the bit about Zuko's ancestry was pretty unnecessary, as though the parallels between Aang and Zuko weren't obvious enough.

But as much as I would like for the horrible dialogue Maiko entails to be intentional, I'm afraid the two are very different. Eh, they seem the same to me. Like you said, the forever girl was meant to be sappy/horribly much like what a real teenage boy would say in his love dream. The Maiko in, say, The Headband was meant to be sappy/horrible much like what real dorkface teenagers say while making out. To be more on-topic, I am not fond of that moment in "The Avatar and The Fire Lord". It was such a great episode and the obligatory bodily function joke was just random and lame. That’s why I don’t like this moment in "The Blind Bandit".

^That's because the Zuko in episodes 301-309 is really Zhao. Uh, another least favorite part was in The Library. Was it really neccessary to laugh at "buttresses?"

...dont remember that, but although bodily functions ARE unnecessary in cartoons, I think they do it to make them more human so it makes the viewer able to relate better with the character, at least thats what I think. I love that part in the avatar and the firelord, but you guys are right, it was random. the 1st time I saw it was when my sis was on the internet watching it, and I walked in to see what she was doing, and thats the 1st thing I saw. It was soooo funny cuz I didnt expect it at all! any other moments you guys can think of?

Oh yeah all of the bodily functions were bad. The thing in 306 you already mentioned and the pic Ana posted were just bad. The buttresses joke was stupid too. And I hate the gas jokes Nicktoons makes too when they come back from commercial breaks.

^ I think we have to accept the younger half of the key demographics that Nicktoons are targeted at may not have a very sophisticated sense of humour and find jokes on bodily functions hilarious. Actually there are many people who never quite outgrow that sense of humour.

^That's because the Zuko in episodes 301-309 is really Zhao. I knew this would backfire on me some how. XD But about the bodily functions I didn't like them but I figured they where for the younger kids to have something to laugh at.

I think that statement raised more questions about the spirit world.....but it did kinda kill the seriousness...i mean thats one of my favorite episodes too.

^The episode was great it was just that one moment that didn't seem to go with the rest of the episode.
