Well it probably depends on what the man is trying to get out of the relationship. ;D I got made fun of by some major dorks when I talked about Avatar. Like the MOST socially awkward kids were laughing. xDDD Oh well, I can socially function and still like dorky things and you guys can't. Okay that sounded mean, but it's the truth. *in a bad mood* I saw an ad today for ninja poptarts. It was pretty epic.

Blah, busy week has caused me to stray from DH! *bad 2X, bad* Pfft, for the last two months I've been wearing my Harvey Dent for Gotham City political button on my uniform. People ask me about it, antagonize me about it, but i don't care (unfortunately now I can't find it ) And for the last few years I've been wearing a silver cross and a Virgin Mary medal, typically over my t-shirt. You should never be ashamed of what you are. In the same spirit as a similar St Francis quote, be whatever you are 100%. Always be secure with your convictions.

I don't wear stuff like that to school. Like right now I'm wearing a necklace of the Virgin Mary that had been blessed adn given to me by my grandma, I didn't wear it to school because I didn't know if someone could not worsship god and they'd get mad at me for wearing it. I think I may wear it next school year but underneath my shirts.

I stand by what I say.
Wear it proudly, tru. Who gives a dang if someone gets mad that you're Christian and proud of it? If someone has a problem with it, that's their problem. I would never make fun of someone for wearing a yamika (however you spell it), or for not eating pork. Hell, I'm one of those guys who typically does not eat meat on fridays, all of them, not just lent (I kinda broke that habit, but that's besides the point).
Don't be afraid of judgmental morons.

I personally am of the opinion that when you "display" your convictions, you weaken the meaning of them by making them a part of your social identity.
Never lie or dilute what you belive in. but when you use it to stamp your identity like that, you weaken the chance that you might question your beliefs... and that questioning, that spiritual "searching" is what makes belief meaningful.
When you wear the cross against your skin, let it be a reminder to yourself. let it be a way of thought.
When you wear the cross for others to see, it becomes a social identifier for others. A way of life.
Either way, dont fear the judgment of others... but dont seek it either.

You get karma for that post. I never let what people say or think get in the way of what I believe. I may not wear something at all times that signifies I'm a Christian but I'm not afraid to admit it.

I don't make fun of anyone for what they believe in, and I don't get made fun of for what I believe in because I never tell anyone.

@zenjamin: I do think a person should question his beliefs. The problem is, if a person questions his beliefs too much those beliefs are no longer beliefs; they become too fluid and they no longer have any meaning to his life.
As hedonistic or insane as my tendencies are, being a Catholic is my way of life; my actions aren't always based on that, but I try to keep them in the same direction. Catholicism is my identity.
But I suppose it's easier for me to do so since I went to Catholic school since the 3rd grade, and hang out with Irish or German people.
