My cousin, and I were going to watch this, but decided not too after we saw the first few seconds. It just seemed like another HSM. If I want to see the Jonas Brothers I'll just watch one of the several videos of them on YouTube. lol.

I really liked Camp Rock. Mostly because of the Jonas Brothers *cough* Nick *cough* Anywho- I liked Demi, I think she has good voice. I really liked "This Is Me". If I knew the words I'd probably be singing it right now. lol Hmm...speaking of singing, it seems like every Disney star has sung and made a video for at least one song. I wonder if singing is a requirement to be a Disney star I know! If they were trying to make it a realistic movie, they probably would have kissed when they were in the canoe that time. Kevin's birdhouse thing... I mean, it could have been okay if they made him just say it once, but it just kept going on and on and getting less and less funny. I don't really like it when they make once character stupid for comedy. I agree. The birdhouse thing was overplayed. Even after all those requests, he never did get a birdhouse

You know what was really creepy? While I was watching it, I told my sister that this movie was basically a mash-up of -Raise Your Voice -A Cinderella Story -Lizzie McGuire -and hints of HSM
and after the movie, we read a newspaper review of it and it listed all those movies/shows. It was semi-creepy. I don't think I would have noticed how Raise Your Voice like it was if I hadn't coincidentally watched it on TV right before.
I thought Kevin was hilarious and Nick acted the best with Joe doing what he had to do. It kind of disappointed me knowing that the Jobros probably were cast just because they're the Jobros and bring in an audience, but at least they didn't act like they did in that Hannah Montana episode, and Disney at least they casted a not well known person for Mitchie who at least had some talent. I had really low expectations for the movie, so i thought it was good enough.
I commend the movie for having a reasonable ending instead of like most sugar-stuffed movies where the heroine always wins, but instead Margaret/Peggy winning because she WAS the best and all, and just finding a way for Demi to perform. (which was one of the most Raise Your Voice-like elements of the whole movie).
I didn't get the Margaret/Peggy thing either. Was it a Naturally Sadie reference...?

It was a lot like those, come to think of it!
Especially the way the last contest in Raise Your Voice turned out and Final Jam.
Disney needs to get more original.
