I've searched and searched for a thread on this, but I can't find one! How sad. So, as you can see, thread is dedicated to a very good anime with a silly name, Princess Tutu. (Here is the Wikipedia article) Has anyone else seen it? I'm sure I'm not the only fan around here...

How weird ~ I could have sworn I made one a year or so ago. Must have gotten trashed. So, yeah, I loved this show. Took me a while to get over the embarrassment of the name and the cuteness of the first few episodes... but it was worth it. I was excited to see the boxed set finally go on sale at amazon last winter, though there's an incongruous shot of Rue on the cover that was just gratuitous fanservice. Wait, that's redundant. www.amazon.com/Princess-Tutu-Complete-Collection/dp/B000VKJ6Z4Otherwise, the symbolism and metaphor in the story were fun to untangle, the dance animation was amazing, and the score was of course superb. One of my all-time favorites (though I never thought I'd say such a thing over a show so shamelessly shojo).

Empy suggested this anime to me, saying she and Analeisa loved it so, and I'm glad she did. ^_^ I started watching Friday and finished the show today.
At first, judging by the title, I thought this anime was going to be all, "sparkly happy-go-lucky" but I was badly mistaken. The tone of the story changed rather quickly and drastically, especially when Princess Kraehe is introduced.
I loved the tragic love story. In fact I just loved the show as a whole: it was very unique and the intriguing development of the plot and its characters has been written well. The well-choreographed dancing and the classical music made it even more beautiful.
I also have to add that I just loved FakirxAhiru. I really thought early on in the show that they would make a far more interesting match than MythoxAhiru. Their pas de deux was so magnificent. I kind of wished they could have truly been together in the end I didn't care so much for MythoxRue even though they were cute, but the way it ended is already okay with me.
Last but not least, Neko-sensei was so funny. Him threatening the girls to marry him if they failed at something, made me laugh every time. Normally if a joke is used over and over again during a show, it bores me but this one kept its charm.

It actually took me a while to watch this serese, because it got so confusing. >.< When it got to only 11 minute episodes called parts, I keep searching for the other part, which was in fact the next episode. Also, I think I missed a episode or two. ^,^' Plus, in the middle of the serese I completely lost interest. It got very boring with everyone with the pieces of the heart and the : "DANCE WITH ME! *huge raven wings appear out of nowhere* "Yeeeeeesss...." "No, dance with me!" and the fact that the serese "ended" and then keep going. But, after forcing myself to watch a few more episodes of that, the serese finally came down to the last few episodes, which were sooooo awesome. o.o For a cute serese, it was really dark with a lot of plot twists! I really loved it! And it was cool how at the end all the animal people were real people and everything was normal. And poor Tutu. ;-; It was supposed to be a happy ending, but I was so sad that she ended up staying a duck... But I was happy for Rue! Her whole past thing really made me feel sorry for her, which led me to liking her. And Neko-sensei was like...the coolest character. xD Awesome Princess Tiutu AMV: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NDnqGrgDpk
