What is the point of being 'invisible'? No one can see you...but does it matter?

Can you post when you're invisible?

Yeah, but you just don't show up on the front page. People can't tell whether you're on or off unless you post. It's great for just hanging around and not having people bug you.

If you stay logged in forever does the last login date change to whenever you come onto DH?

So, if you're invisible, people don't know you're on until you post? Or is your post invisible too? Or are you invisble until you're not invisble and then people can see your post? *ish confused* my head hurts

Yes, whenever you visit DH that will appear as your last login date. I'm logged in forever. Thats why when I log you seem to be here all the time. *ish totally not helping like he should* I can't add much more than what shockie said, but just to add. Staff are asked to log in visable as of a few months ago. Just wanted to add that.

I think you can tell if someone who's invisible or not is online if you quote them.
I noticed that sometimes the username in the quote doesn't link, so I'm thinking that if it's white, then that means that the person is online, not sure though, I'm still trying to figure it out, because sometimes it links, and sometimes it doesn't.
Anyone care to help me out with this experiment?

I thought the names in quotes turnred white when the person deletes their account. The names are the same colors as the person's name on the side, right?

If the person deletes their account, then all the quotes turn white, and only have the users original screenname on it. (i.e. it doesn't say the date nor does it link back to the original post)
But for some reason, every since proboards updated their servers, a lot of quotes have the user's name sometimes turns white, and at different times links back to the original posters username. So I'm wondering if this had to do with when the person's online or not, because I noticed it in particular with a member who's invisible.
of course, it could just be a glitch, but it would be cool if being invisible wasn't completely fool-proof XD

Yeah, but you're a mod, so maybe that has something to do with it? >__>
anyway, it's just weird with the quotes, cause that never used to happen before, and normally quotes only turn white if the user deleted their account. Am I the only one who this is happening to, or is anyone else having a similar experience?
