OMG....I FINALLY saw the movie! And I thought it was fantastic! It was very close to the book, but with some stuff that was different, which is good. The actors portraying the characters did an excellent job. I was a little dissappointed with some things (like them never mentioning Jasper's ability), but I got over that. I think my fave scene (if I HAD to choose) would be the Vampire baseball scene! It was awesome to see and nice to see them having fun together before James and Co. came. I actually got teary eyed when Edward was playing the piano for Bella. When I read that part in the book, I loved it. It was so beautiful to see.

This movie was actually good? I was expecting all the fangirls to cry over the horribleness of it.
They could've at least chosen a better-looking actor for you-know-who.....

After watching the movie I realize that love transcends all boundaries...
Such as that of a hundred-year-old stalker who finds himself entranced by a 17-year-old girl and becomes fascinated by watching her sleep.
it's even more romantic when I realized that she wants to stay with him even though he uproots a tree in a frenzied rage exclaiming how much he wants to kill her.

I went to go watch it the day it got released with my die-hard twilight friends. At first I thought: "Hey, how bad could it be? I mean I know it's going to be disappointing but I can still smile through my favorite parts, right?" Little did I know. . .what I was going to watch was going to be a complete and utter disaster. Mostly everything was terrible, my brother and I couldn't help but laugh when Edward [Robert Pattinson is d amn UGLY] first smells Bella's scent. Man o man, if you haven't read the book. . .You would have laughed. Robert didn't even play Edward's role right. His expressions made me think he was afraid and constipated at the same time. Bella was pretty alright. Emmett was just plain awesome but I couldn't help but want to fix his cap. ^_^; Carlisle was pretty good looking. . .fit the profile, IMO. JACOB [Taylor Laurent] WAS FREKIN' HOT!
I was even blessed with his autograph and picture. =^^= I did like the part where the Cullens play baseball. That was a pretty good scene. Alice was so adorable when she threw the ball. Overall I would give the movie a 2/5. :b Eh, I'm not watching New Moon. . .even if my friends would want to drag me by the hair or get ticked off for not going. -shrugs- Twilight is just another flavor of the month. I love Twilight [the book series] a whole bunch but. . .the movies. . .They are just terrible. Well, You and I both think differently. I still think she's a sell-out. *shrugs* So every author who ever allows an adaptation to be made is a sell-out? Sorry, but that seems a tad dumb. A bit old but. . . . Did I ever talk about any other author? No. I was only talking about STEPHENIE MEYER. You got that? You shouldn't make assumptions.

I haven't noticed anybody commenting on Pattinson's accent, whether they're pro or anti the guy.
I take it he managed to pull off an American accent respectably enough, then? Good for him!

You should all watch Let The Right One In. It's about vampires, but instead of being mediocre it's excellent.

I really liked the movie. It was really close to the book, and the stuff they changed could have actually happened. Like the scene in the tree never happened, but I can totally picture it taking place.
And, yes, he did pull off the American accent really well. Occasionally you could see the traces of his real accent, but he did good.
He sounds hotter with an American accent, for some reason.

My friend told me it looked like he was sweating than sparkling. Uh, yeah. The "sparkle effect" was one of the things I was really looking forward to, and it DID look like he was sweating. So, they just HAD to add cheezy "sparkle" sound effects. I cringle whenever I hear that "Twinkle, twinkle" sound.
