Nah, that one's old hat, and many new arguments aren't included there.
The one I linked to is New and Improved[tm]. ;D

I voted ZUTARA, Taang, and Sukka. Zutara is my main ship haha^^ The first two pairing seem quite natural to me. I didn't used to ship Taang or any other Aang-involved romantic relationships cuz for me, Aang being a MONK just couldn't stop bothering me~ But now I think if Aang really did pair up with someone, I'd think Toph would be a good match =P As for Sukka, I didn't care much before either, but now I think they're quite sweet together^^ But mainly I ship Zutara!!! Regardless of what some might say, I shall ship Zutara till the end! LOL probably because I like un-obvious ships more xD EDIT I'm normally not a huge fan of tragic Separated-By-Cruel-Circumstance ships, but Maiko is definitely an exception. It contains so many of my favorite romantic plotlines: childhood crushes, love through adversity, casual coupley downtime with outmaking, etc. And, ironically, Maiko has become the kind of relationship that many Zutarians always wanted their ship to become: star-crossed-lovers on opposing sides of a war, whose love is destined to overcome battle lines and affect positive change in the world. I don't quite understand what you are saying here, how Maiko is the kind of relationship us Zutarians always wanted. How is Maiko "star-crossed-lovers on opposing sides of a war"? They started off on the same side of the war and are both from the Fire Nation anyway. You may be referring to the latest episodes, but Maiko didn't start off as "on opposing sides", which I think takes a bit of the excitement away from the ship... "Love through adversity"? hehe I also like relationships involving "love through adversity" which is exactly why I support Zutara, but I don't see how Maiko fits this...did I miss this part of Maiko?? hmm

I think if you watched the most recent episodes you will see very clearly how the Maiko relationship contains the exact qualities that Zutarians proposed that Zutara had a while back.
It's probably why on LJ I see so many Zutarians saying that actually are O.k. with Maiko now. Interesting eh?

^ actually, I have watched the recent episodes, but I'm still not getting it LOL It's not exactly "love through adversity" type of thing At least it's not the qualities I expect in Zutara hehe anyways, I won't completely reject Maiko if it does happen, just maybe disappointed >.<

Alright, so...I voted for Zutara, Taang, and Sukka. ^_^
Zutara: I just adore this and it's my Avatar OTP though Azulaang & Sokkla come a close second!xD I pretty much have the same reasons as everyone has already said (to an extent) about loving Zutara. as of now I don't think anyone has said the same personal reason as myself so here goes. The most endearing thing about Zutara to me is because I can relate to it very well. Most of my experiances with love are very Zutara-like. On experiance they've also worked very well and though I still haven't found "my one true love" as Disney would put it, I'm very happy. Most of the guys I've liked end up having this Zutara-esque relationship with me. In the end they've also turned out to be very dependable and loyal best friends.
Side note 1: On that note I've always tried to like Kataang (falling for my best friend is why I don't mind as much if it happens) but it never really took hold. Also, Katara being so motherly concerning him kind of ruined it for me as others said. I'm just not such a motherly girl (kinda like Mai actually >.>)so I don't understand that whole "mothering people you like" thing. Though in my experiance dudes are glad I do that so rarely. One of them even said it made them feel special to have get that attention from me.
Side note 2: Which brings us to Maiko! In another dimension I probably would've liked this pairing but it's too...blah...for me to watch. They're too alike to me and though I can sympathize with Mai on a certain level her apathy is just too extreme for my liking.
Taang: ADORABLE! For me I always get this happy warm feeling everytime Toph and Aang interact. Strangely I think of them as Lucy & Ricky from 'I Love Lucy' except their personalities are reversed!xD
Sukka: As much as I liked Yue they developed Suki's character in such a great way I couldn't help myself! I fell in love with the pairing and that's the end of that.

LOL, yiceman. *karma* Some Zutarians being okay with Maiko because of recent episodes is the exact same of some Kataangers being okay with Zutara because of the trailer. That only proves that shippers are fickle. I for one don't see the similarities between Maiko and Zutara. I will never ship Maiko or think it is cool. I will say that the writers are better at breaking up the couple than having them together.

yiceman: karma to you too! LOL exactly my thinking =P Maiko is just too...well...kinda boring for me especially during The Beach, where, in my opinion, was the only episode with more Maiko interaction haha (cept for maybe the recent ep). The just sat around, didn't talk much to each other, and was just awkward hehe

The just sat around, didn't talk much to each other, and was just awkward hehe No offense but what are you talking about? Mai and Zuko talked a ton in The Beach. In any case, I find Zutara to be more "blah" than Maiko. Pairing Zuko with a nice and healing girl bores me so. I like Zuko because he’s got a lot of rough edges yet is still endearing. If he was "healed" that aspect would be gone and I think his relationship with Mai shows said aspect well. They fight sometimes (see: The Beach) but still heart each other.

Analeisa I meant that they didn't really talk much when they were alone together, eg. at the party during The Beach. They only said stuff like "I'm bored.." "me too" or "find me something to eat" LOL Nobody is saying YOU must feel the same way and find Zutara to be more interesting =P I respect other ppl's ships^^

I gotta say, neither you or deana were being verry respectful by laughing an publicly karmaing yiceman's post. Its fine to agree that maiko is bland. But as there are clearly people who believe that maiko can be seen as having good dialogue, charisma, chemistry, and passion. Laughing with that statement and praising it as if people who didnt see that obvious truth were just "not in on the joke"... Ya, thats borderline bashing.
I know nobody likely meant it to seem that direct. but the mockery did come through. and after all the mockery you guys sometimes get, Id think you would be more aware of it.
so... still nobody has anything to say about Toko? so far, nobody has said anything other then praise for the idea.
(I would have things to say on the kataang/zutara front. I noticed someone brought the "motherly" argument again. but I have to take a long break before im ready to start repeating my old arguments again.)

so... still nobody has anything to say about Toko? so far, nobody has said anything other then praise for the idea. I could understand why people wouldn't really care much for Toko before WAT (or are we not allowed to talk about that outside the spoiler board?), but I would think at least a few people would have something to say about it now. Actually, when I think about this, it's kind of similar to Kataang in that I think it would be a love growing through friendship sort of thing. I really think that they would become decent friends within the Gaang and after the war, but I think it would take a long time for them to actually get together. Zuko would watch Toph grow from a little girl into a woman, and yet being the dork he is I think it would take time for him to notice that, indeed, she actually is a woman, and a pretty darn good-looking one at that. I don't see Toph or Zuko realizing that they might could like each other in that way unless something gives them a nudge out of the door, like maybe Iroh strategically mentioning how beautiful Toph looks at some point. On that note, the one thing they have more than any other pairing is Iroh to play matchmaker. Iroh's already Toph's BFF, so we know he would love to see them together. He did say that she reminded him of his nephew, which automatically means instant perfect couple baby! Iroh is never wrong ;D Something I also love about Toko is it sort of has the unrequited love aspect going for it with Toph. I don't know why, but I find the sadness of unrequited love so beautiful. It really doesn't look like Sokka has any feelings like that for Toph, and it's got to be hard to have your first love rejected. Also there's Mai, though I don't see Maiko as unrequited love so much as there has to be a way for them to break up and not get back together. Either way both Zuko and Toph would be heartbroken...then finding comfort in each other I'm starting to think that's part of the reason I almost never ship a character with the person they really want to be with, that's just too easy Blargh, I think that subject has been argued to death. I really don't like debates over Katara's motherliness mainly because the only thing people can do is present evidence that the other side has already seen in the show and rejected. Honestly, I think it all has to do with one's perspective, and I honestly don't think that anyone is going to try to look from a different point of view unless the show hits them in the face with something to the contrary. That's kind of happened with me in The Headband. I honestly didn't think that I would ever like Kataang because of the motherly thing, but then that hot unmotherly Kataang dance scene showed and made me feel all happy inside I actually thought I was going to be able to like Kataang at the point and was excited, but then it went back to the same thing it was before and kind of irritated me. I realize that Kataang can't be hot like that all the time, but I was at least hoping for some difference in the dynamic of their relationship, but it really just seemed to go back to the way it was before. Katara! What are you doing, darn you! Aang just showed an unprecedented level of hotness and you're going back to treating him like a child!
