I don't blame him for looking sad in the preview... I think he's most upset by Zuko and his actions at the end of season 2 and that's going to take some time to get past... I think he's scared for his nephew...but he'll make it in the end...

i think iroh is a brilliant character.!!!! he will probably get out of jail although the means to wich he will do it by are unknown. but something cool though oh and zuko with be worthy of iroh love once he has redeemed himself.

fine. i suppose zuko can be redeemed to this kind of person with Iroh's help, but rignt now he is more like this.anyways, as you can see ive got some if iroh's words of wisdom/power/humor in my sig. i could have put more but i didnt have enough room. all of that was from the episode "bitter work". if you have anymore good quotes/moments please share. i will eventually edit my first post with them when i have the time.

My favorite three Iroh quotes that I will never forget from Bitter Work. ^__^
Iroh: "Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have desire and will, and the energy and drive to achieve what they want. Earth is the element of substance. The people of the Earth Kingdom are diverse and strong. They are persistent and enduring. Air is the element of freedom. The Air Nomads detached themselves from worldly concerns and found peace and freedom. Also, they apparently had pretty good senses of humor! Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribe are capable of adapting to many things. They have a deep sense of community and love that holds them together through anything."
"It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If we take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale. Understanding others, the other elements, and the other nations will help you become whole." "It is the combination of the four elements in one person that makes the Avatar so powerful. But, it can make you more powerful too."
And I also like this quote from The Tales of Ba Sing Se.
"While it is always best to believe in one's self, a little help from others can be a great blessing."

I think that Zuko will serve as a spy while in the fire nation, and will give Iroh the information as to what Ozai's plans are, then Iroh will be Aang's mentor and help him master the elements, namely fire, and will help the Gaang with the secret information about Ozai's plans. That's just what I think will happen. Just one idea to put out there. Iroh and Zuko are my favorite characters; I love to see Zuko's changes, especially as he becomes peaceful and happy right before the last episode of season 2. And when Iroh surrounded himself with crystals when he was instead going to fight off Zuko and Azula, I think the reason for this was because it's all part of a plan to ultimately defeat Ozai. I have no idea if any of this is what will happen, but it's as far as I can imagine.

I like Iroh. He is a great character. I like the way he can be light hearted and serious at a drop of a hat. He loves his nephew and tries desperately to protect him. Here's hoping that the the relationship between Iroh and Zuko can be rebuilt.

Have you guys seen the Canadian trailer yet? Looks like Iroh's either going senile, getting very depressed, hallucinating from lack of food, or doing something with the Spirit World

Well, he's looking around trying to see the flies, but it's hard because his cell is so dark, you know? And if he firebends to kill them/see them, the guards will get ticked off, so for now, he claps and looks weird.

My love for Iroh is very deep. I swear if he weren't a cartoon I'd marry him (though he's probably got 20 years on me, at least). Not only does he have humor, but humilty and grace. He is a very caring man, but he originally wasn't if you recall in Zuko's memories but that was before he lost the one person he loved the most, his only son. I don't want to seem cruel but I think that was the best thing for him, it set him on his path that makes me the Iroh we know and love.
In simple terms, I heart him so... ^_^
