FDR. Had half a body but twice the courage of any president. Led the country through probably the darkest times it will ever face. The worst thing he did? Try to stack the Supreme Court. His approval rating must have been enourmous.
Steve Yzerman. Captain of the Detroit Red Wings for 20 years. Just an icon in my mind for his leadership.
I'll think of more later.

Just remember also that because of him, we had to lower the amount of terms for Presidency to 2. FDR was all, "Yeah, I can be Prez for 12 years, so what?" XD

Haha if FDR came back, it'd be over. He'd pull out that wierd cigarette holder and be like "all right, stand back, Im about to kick this"
He did more in 100 days than most presidents will ever do.

Very true.
What about historical men other than presidents who are considered manly?
I think Leonidas (Thermopylae, Sparta, 300 (the one who says, "THIS IS SPARTA!") is very manly.

"all right, stand back, Im about to kick this" why did that remind me so much of Iroh? EDIT: What about historical men other than presidents who are considered manly? the three most influential historical figures in my life would have to be between Benjamin Franklin, Julian the Apostate, and Tenskwatawa.

^LOL haha. Most influential man in my life is my grandfather, simply because he has taught me so many things about being a man, whether by communicating to me one-one or by me just watching him around other people. He told me one of the best things a man should have is patience, but know when to take action. Martin Luther King Jr. because IMO he was one of the greatest creations God ever made. He made this entire world so much better by not using violence and not being afraid to say what needed to be said, nomatter what the consequences would be. He was also the single largest contributor to the near genocide of the native-americans. grrrrr.....my people.....
