@kohana: Well, the reason those stereotypes continue to exist is people tell other people and they are either young and naive or old and ignorant so they believe them. Sometimes the stereotypes are correct but that doesn't mean that it is a fact. It is the same with many things, good and bad in this world...

who would you guys say is the most manly person in avatar? Iroh, i belive. that pic really sums it up perfectly for me. most would not consider tea, singing, or some of the other things Iroh has done not to be "manly", But Iroh is someone who does not need to compensate for anything.Iroh is someone who is completely secure and stable, who knows what he wants, he knows how to find peace and he knows how to protect it. respected, charasmatic, and one powerful BAMF... and that was before he decided to get ripped.

@kohana: I used to have religion class, in private school. I had it for six years in elementary school and another six years in High School. In HS we've got it two hours in the week, plus exams and stuff. (While my friend in another school didn't.) I went to a public Catholic school.

*sigh* Did you not read the Manly Thread II?? I almost feel sorry for you, seeing as how unprepared you are. Trust me, little boy, you have no idea what you're getting yourself into. I'd recommend you stop before I bring out the icing on the cake. Am I right, members of the Manly Thread?

Okay this is a manly thread and alot of you metioned sports like lacrosse and chess and soccer, but what about football ( the american type, not football as in soccer) It is the ulrimate game. not only is strength required, but also tactical skill and knowledge. There is alot of thinking involved, especially if you are the Coach, who has to decide how to set up the offensive/deffensive linemen based on how the other teams play and act.
Also on an earlier note, punching people, not in a soft, barely feel it way or in a painful bruise leaving way, but a general punch in the forearm or shoulder is a man's way of saying: "I respect you as an Individual and it is an honor to know you and call you my friend. have another beer."
