Gaw. Then you might as well switch to linux, Gacs. Ubuntu is pretty straight forward. I can understand the MS bashing because they basically usurp or steal innovation. Honestly though, I'm also getting a little tired of it. MS makes pretty useful/solid products in hardware and software.

ROFL looks liek everyone is bored anyway, i am back I ain't bored. And well, to be honest, I sometimes use Windows (hehe) but Linux is way cooler. Linux can be fun to tinker with, 'cause you can build just about anything. What distro do you like? I have tried just about all of them and I like Fedora and Ubuntu. I have built an awesome HTTP captive portal using netcat with Fedora, and my tablet dual boots to linux/XP. The linux side can bust into any WEP protected wireless =x (gah this is getting nerdy, sorry guys).

Good point persoanaly I wouldn't touch linux right now I'm not into tweaking my computer to ninth degree that it takes to work like you want it to.

Linux has actually come a long way, Ubuntu *usually* installs easier than windows now. I use linux for just basic web browsing, some docs, and some network related stuff. However, if you want to play PC games or create a polished professional presentation, MS all the way. I have also found that the tools to fix windows problems are way easier to use than linux ones. When something goes wrong in Linux, I have to read up on the development, comb through different forums (hopefully addressing problems specific to my distro), and just start "tinkering" like you said to fix it. ok what media player do you use? i use WinAmp This mang knows what he is talking about, WinAmp and Media Player Classic FTW.

Ya the fixing the problems is what makes me standoffish. Also there have been driver problems. I don't know I just don't find screwing aorund with my computer like that to be fun but I might eventually give it a try.

I always have a second computer sitting around that I mess with. I wouldn't recommend switching your current windoze machine, or at least go ahead and make it a dual boot using GRUB or LILO
