I really want to get a Joe Thornton Jersey with the A. He'll probably go done as the best Shark player in history. I currently only own a home Vlasic jersey... and a darn white '97 Pens Jersey.

I would really like to know who the captain will be this year. Some people are saying Teppo Numminen, one of the A guys, may be up for it, since A.) He's an excellent d-man, B.) He's one of the oldest, if not the oldest, guys on our team and C.) He has a lot of experience in hockey. But I would have to say that if I could get any jersey, it would have to be a Roy jersey

It would most likely be Teppo, I can't think of any other person besides him. If Miller play any other position then goalie, I give him the C.

Well, others say maybe Brian Campbell or Thomas Vanek are possibilities, as well as (possibly) big time fighters Paul Gaustad and Adam Mair (Which I highly doubt), but possibly also Henrik Tallinder. I'm not sure, but I'm going for Teppo

Maybe Campbell, I really don't see Vanek as a leader and he's so young too. I rather have a real veteran be leader so the younger guys can focus on their own game instead of their teammates. Plus Vanek has extra pressure now as he's getting paid the most. I'm hoping Michalek contract more reasonable... 5 years 20 million.

Yeah, I'm rooting for Teppo to get it. As you said, Vanek's too young, but these young guys have to step in and fill in the roles that are needed. You need strong, young guys like Drew Stafford and some Rochester boys that have at least some NHL experience to fill in rolls. Guys who, like Jason Pominville, might be part of the regular roster for their NHL work. Yeah, Vanke's payroll is a little much...

I think he's making 7 million next year... thats more then Chris Pronger, Joe Thornton, and Marin Brodeur. Vanek a great player, but he isn't a game breaker yet. I honestly think Buffalo should have let him go. They would have receive 3 first round draft picks and one in the impressive 2009 draft. The 2009 draft has the next Chris Pronger, the Russian Sydney Crosby, and Traverse who skill level is up there with Malkin.

I disagree. He will probably be a key player in the future. I mean, this Buffalo team can really use young guys like Vanek and guys coming up from Rochester. They're the future of this team, and we're going to need all the manpower we can get to get us to a Cup. Hopefully, this upcoming year will be the year we finally get a Cup. We could use it here in Buffalo, we need a good sports team we can rely on to A.) Break the so-called "curse" on Buffalo sports teams; B.) Finally win a Cup; and C.) Get more people into the Buffalo area. It'le do our economy good

I understood why Buffalo had to overpay Vanek. They just came out of an impressive season where they won the President's trophy and lost their top 2 centers. Thats equivalent to the Sharks losing Thornton and Marleau in the same year . They weren't about to lose another important piece of the puzzle. Though if Edmonton came and try to snatch Bernier away with an overprice contract I'll be hoping that DW lets him go. It sucks to lose a good young player, but for 3 picks in a good draft. Also a potential top 10 pick, I'll happily give him up. Those 3 picks open up so many options. You can trade them away at free agency instead of a young player. Teams that normally draft well can replenish their prospect pool and stay good longer like the Devils. I'm so bum that the Ducks got those picks. They were going to sink badly after Pronger retires... now they won't . I hate the fact that my team is in the Pacific. Dallas never goes away, the Kings actually have better kids in their system they Penguins, and the defending champs in their too.

Wow, that's all I have to say.... But I hate Dallas. I hate them with a passion. They all need to die in a fire. Curse you, Brett Hull.... That was our year.... Grr....

Hey nhldork87 haven't seen you around lately . Our Oilers and Sharks are opening the season against each other. Anyways I saw this at another forum... the potential new shark jersey. I really hate the orange.

Really? The orange of the jersey is growing on me. I'm not too picky on changes anyway. Besides, anything is better than the blue Atlanta jersey.

Ewww the Blue Atlanta jerseys.... those thing are ugly. Though not as bad as those horrible 3rd jerseys from the Mighty Ducks early years.
