Everything but rap, modern pop, and hip hop. Eh, and glam metal. And latin music. And I'm not saying I 'like' polka, per se, but I do enjoy Weird Al's music.

Can't believe I haven't posted here already:
In general, I tend to gravitate to bands that have at least one dead guy in their classic line-up. I don't know why it works out that way, it just does. Furthermore, most of the bands I like were in operation at some point during the late 1960's through the 1970's. Although there are a few 80's, 90's, and 00's groups in there.
Genres: Pop Rock (Elton John, George Harrison, Huey Lewis & the News, et al) Hard Rock (The Who, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, et al) Progressive Rock (Pink Floyd, Genesis, Rush, et al) Classical (Mostly from the Romantic Period [1815-1910]) Film Scores (Late) British Invasion (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones) Heavy Metal (Black Sabbath, Metallica) Glam Rock (Queen, David Bowie) Other (Chicago, The Redwalls, Eric Clapton, Eagles, The Polyphonic Spree, Gorillaz, Nirvana, The Traveling Wilburys, Jackson Browne, Tenacious D)

Music. <3 Don't know what I'd do without it. Favorite American artists: Regina Spektor, Anberlin, Relient K, Chiodos, Paramore, Jack's Mannequin, Alanis Morissette, Hawthorne Heights, 30 Seconds to Mars, Switchfoot, Idina Menzel (her Broadway and solo stuff is all amazing), Dance Gavin Dance, Aly & AJ (I don't care if I get made fun of; they can sing), Augustana, Jack Johnson, Franz Ferdinand (okay, so they're British... but they sing in English), Hawk Nelson, MuteMath... and a whole bunch more I don't feel like typing out.Favorite Japanese artists: Ayumi Hamasaki, Rie Fu, Acid Black Cherry, Utada Hikaru, Yui, Angela Aki, Gackt, Koda Kumi, High and Mighty Color, Nami Tamaki, Rurutia, Alice Nine, L'Arc~En~Ciel, BoA, Namie Amuro, Ai Otsuka, Hitomi Shimatani, Ami Suzuki, The Pillows, Stephanie (love her voice <3), Dir En Grey, Mika Nakashima, Hyde, Bonnie Pink... and, again, a lot more that I don't feel like typing out.... So right now, the *majority* of my music is either English or Japanese. But recently I've started getting more and more into Chinese and Korean music too. Cherry Boom, S.H.E, Jay Chou, Angela Chang, and the Vidal sisters are my favorite Chinese artists; Big Bang, MC Mong, Rain, and Younha for Korean. (I'm strangely attracted to the Wonder Girls as well. I've listened to "Tell Me" 73 times on iTunes, and it never gets old. I think next I'm gonna learn the dance. :

I love rock. I like bands with girl leads (Evanescence/Flyleaf,etc.) Linkin Park is my fav band. I like many, many girl artists. I like Maroon 5, MCR are also my favs. I really enjoy songs with good guitar parts but still lyrical. I would type more but if I listed every song I like and every band the lists would go on and on.XD

I love a wide range actually. From Alternative Rock to K-pop, and from Rap to Darkwave. There's also J-rock, and Jazz, and even Opera! Oh my. ;] I like your tastes. I'm the same way, my musical tastes go in every possible direction. I love classical, Jrock, traditional eastern music, tribal music. I love American rock (mostly from the 60s-90s), I love German rock, such as laibach, and rammstein. I like some Folk and bluegrass. Love trip hop groups such as Massive Attack and Tricky. I also greatly like old school and acid rap. Shoot, I even like video game music , especially the FFX, Xenogears and Chrono Cross soundtracks (Scars of Time is the BEST opening music for any game EVER). Lately, though I've gravitated mostly to the electronica genres such as Industrial, aggrotech, and darkwave. In fact the only prominent genres I can think of that I dislike are Gangsta Rap, Emo, and Country. O.o;

Have I posted on this before? I like a lot of music. Alternative rock, Swedish pop (VASTLY superior to American pop), techno, music from musicals, the Beatles (they are a genre to themselves), some country, a small amount of rap... and some other random stuff. Like... I have songs by Moroccan street performers on my iPod.

Uh, I'll tell you what I don't like: rap, heavy metal, screamo emo, R&B, country, hip hop and ANYTHING sung by people from Disney channel or Teenick.
I'm getting annoyed with J-rock because people are so "OMGJROCKLOLZ!1!!!" all over the Web.

Huh, could've sworn I posted here before... Anyways, I like just about everything: alternative rock, metal, hip hop, (some) pop, stuff from the 80's, classic country and some contemporary country, Christian rock, etc. I like a little J-Rock, too... I'd probably be more of a fan if I actually knew what they were saying! ^^; My iPod's a huge melting pot of music
