Sword of Truth series. more adult fantasy, but the story line is excellent. also R.A. Salvadore's Drizzt series. his depictions of battle scenes are the most detailed i've ever read/\.

I just read the book Twilight, now i'm OBSESSED. I've read that book 3 times in 4 days!! How crazy is that? Of course, if I exert myself reading for long periods of time, i get massive headaches...Ouch.
I WHOLLY RECCOMEND TWILIGHT ALL THE WAY!!!
and if you're wondering and want to look it up, it's by Stephenie Meyer (i think i might have spelled her first name wrong, im not sure)

Can't really pinpoint it, but Anne McCaffrey's books are very fantastic. She uses great detail, and is excellent with plot progression. Her multiple series about the Dragonriders of Pern are my favorite, other then HP, LOTR, and Eragon.

I love the book "Howl's Moving Castle"
and of course, how could I notmention "The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy"? I first read "The Hollow Kingdom" in sixth grade and I was obsessed immediantly. When "In the Coils of the Snake" came out, I literally FORCEd my mother to buy it for me. Seylin was my favorite character... But yeah. Almost nobody else has even heard of "The Hollow Kingdom"

Oh, for me, it's Salvatore's Legend of Drizzt series. There's a series of three books called The Books of The Kingdoms that I also like, really old TOR Fantasy. Great stuff. But yeah, my favorite fantasy novels are Salvatore's Legend of Drizzt series.

Empy, the Abbhorsen trilogy is really good, I repeatedly read them. Did you know he has a knew book out? Its a collection of his short stories but there's a lengthy short story that involves Nicholas and Lirael. The book is called Over the Wall and Other Stories. ...I think.

The Abbhorsen trilogy is good, but I cant stand the "switch main character" thing.

The Warriors Series (the first series was the best one) by Erin Hunter The Eaglesmount Trilogy by Cherith Baldry The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud (can't believe nobody's even mentioned that yet!!! Bartimaeus rules!) Taggerung by Brian Jacques (the onlyRedwall book I'd really recommend) The Mistmantle Chronicles by M.I. McAllister (read the first book ONLY) His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman (love the daemons) East by Edith Pattou
Yeah, that's just about it. I've still got to read Artemis Fowl though.

I have it and I think it's great! I read the trilogy over and over as well, they're one of my all time favorite things to read. @kaneda: I like Lirael, she had an interesting story and I think her character was good. The only character I really didn't like was Nicholas Sayre.

I kind of liked Charlie Bone, even if it is a Harry Potter rip-off.
