One of my really good friends loves his stuff but, unfortunatley, I have not anything by him. Really want to see the play though.

I read it- the sequel too. It's one of my favorites.
Haven't seen the play, though.

I read it. It's very very good! I was kind of sad that the ending in the musical didn't match the one in the book =\. I have Son of a Witch in front of me right now from the library and I'll read it when I have the chance.

I love Wicked and Son of a Witch. I saw the play though, and I liked the book better, and the play was loosely based on the book, and I didn't like to ending too much.
Also, if you like Gregory Maguire, read Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.

^ ooh, I'm reading that one now! I'm like 60 pages in the book because I started yesterday when I was bored but it's interesting.

I haven't read Wicked yet, but I'm plannin to if I ever get done with that darn Harry Potter. Harry Potters good and all, but classic witches are a lot more....nastalgic.

Oh, I love the book. SO MUCH. The musical is good times, but nowhere near the level of amazing that exists within the book. And I say that as someone who really enjoys the musical; I've seen it five times. It just doesn't compare.
