Happy ending? Frodo died! Wait a minuet there! Frodo died in the book?! You've got to be kidding me! Kaneda and Kataralover Frodo doesn't die. He travels with the elves and Gandalf to the Everlasting Lands, also called the Gray Havens. I've read the Simillarion and that is NOT death. The Everlasting Lands is where the elves were originally from and then they left there to go to middle earth. They return once Middle-Earth starts to become man's land. Later on Frodo dies in the Everlasting lands. The book (don't laugh at me guys) that ALWAYS makes me cry no matter where I am is Clay Aiken's autobiography Learning to Sing; Hearing the Music in Your Life. I always cry when he talks about his grandfather having alzheimers, when his sister committed suicide and when his step father was abusive but he never got to say good-bye and make amends when he died Bard Child! I love The Sight! That was soooooooooo sad! I almost cried at the end of that one. I'll admit, I BAWLED in Half Blood Prince. I also cried at the end of Specials by Scott Westerfeld. Authors of fiction books almost always kill my favorite characters. D:<

^I cried from Half Blood Prince too and yeah, it seems all my favorite characters die too.
I just got done reading A Separate Peace and that book made me depressed. I cried and got depressed. Seeing the dark side of adolescence is not pretty.

Movies and books never really make me cry, i do come close though. only Grave of the Fireflies and Schindler's list made tears physically come out of my eyes as opposed to sticking there. HBP made tears form, but they didnt leave my eyes. What happened in Half Blood Prince? Requiem For a Dream by Selby Jr. I don't know how Selby does it but it makes you love the most love deprived, sickened, deranged, lost, confused and frightened characters ever written in a novel. Also the movie rocks, but dear god the book. It's hard to put it in words but basically, it's addiction triumph over the human spirit. And sadly, you see this written ceaselessly all over the book,but that doesn't stop you, and eventually you end up falling, not so unlike the characters. There is no Reqiem for the Dream...the dream's death passes us by before we can mourn its demise.

Charlotte's Web was a big tear fest, but that was 13 years ago. A recent book that made me cry was Kitty and the Midnight Hour. *sniff*

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and the Half-Blood Prince. I'm still getting over Sirius and Dumbledore's deaths. ;_;
Also Warriors. Agh, so many characters die! Silverstream was one of the saddest. And then Cinderpelt was sulking for moons because she couldn't save her. And Yellowfang. One of the saddest deaths in the series, along with Cinderpelt, Feathertail, Bluestar, and Snowkit. *cries*

The Great Gaspy was pretty sad too. I mean Gaspy was going after his old girlfriend, who wanted to stay married to a man that was being mean to her. What a b----!
