Is there's one book I despise it's The Phantom Tollbooth Did that book have ANY point at all? I don't THINK so! I mean, it constantly double talked, the plot had meant nothing really except he saves the princess' and then, whoosh,he's back in his house and all the sudden "I'm not so bored anymore!" whoop de flippin doo. That book was such a waste of my time UGH, I agree! the movie was WAYYY worse.... (about to get flamed) The latest Harry Potter book.....the HarryXGinny pairing came out of the blue.... Let's hope the next book is better...

From what I've heard, Rowling barely has any real input in her own stories anymore. She has so many editors and other writers come in and slash up and water down her work that it's hardly anything like her original manuscript. I didn't read the Half-Blood Prince, but I heard it was very trite and that lots of people were sorely disappointed.

Queen of the Damned. Well the movie was worst, but I had a hard time understanding the book as well!

The only thing I was really disappointed in was that Ginny becomes Harry's love interest (I'm a Harry/Luna shipper). The Ron/Hermione stuff could have been better; they don't seem to be moving forward at all (they're still using people to make the other one jealous).

Les Miserables and the Hunchback of Notre Dame : Awesome stories but TOO MUCH POINTLESS DESCRIPTION.....eh...but it did serve a purpose in a way in HoND...though I still see it as a church instead of an actual character.

Yeah, I like it, too. I'm not even finished with it. The creepy factor's pretty high One time my youth group was on a bus going to this weekend retreat, and my leader wanted to listen to it on audio book. We just about died laughing when some "inappropriate" scenes came up, because we were in sixth grade and laughed at anything unusual. So I have never actually read it, but I have read Animal Farm, and it was a very good book. Also, Lord of the Flies was good too. However, my English teacher kinda butchered it when she tried to analyze it, but as a story it was pretty good. So was Of Mice and Men. Another book I really didn't like was Jacob Have I Loved. The plot was mostly about this twin who hated herself because her twin was prettier and got more attention. Then, the ugly twin fell in love with this 60-year-old guy and became obsessed with hands.

I couldn't stand A Heartbreaking Work of Stagger Genius by Dave Eggers and what's surprising is that it was even a Pulitzer Prize Finalist. And I'm going WHAT! I still need to get through Part II. Gosh what a bad book or maybe I tried to read it when I was too young and stupid and a senior in AP English when I didn't have the time, maybe I should give it another go around. :/

I'm probably in the minority here but I hate Eragon. I found it dull and slow moving.

I hated the Lovely Bones. I was so hyped up by my friends that the story about a girl looking down on people from heaven, but by the end where she takes over a girls body to have sex with her 7th grade crush was a bit too much.

Have you ever seen the epilouge-discussion of Lord of the Flies? Since when is killing a pig a "macarbe version of the Oepidean wedding"? Double you. Tee. Eff. I liked the Phantom Tollbooth, but I see where you're going with that. And Meada, you are definitely not in the minority by hating Eragon. You have many, many fellows.
