I love that series! Not the best book I've read, but pretty good. My favorite was.. . all of them! Yeah, they are a little shallowish, and Dial L for Loser I haven't read, but it sounds so fake. But its still pretty good.

Isn't this series kind of like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?

Nah, not really. Its about 3 spoiled rich girls and one girl pretending to be rich, trying to get along with the new girl claire who moves into the leader's guest house. And of course the hardships of a spoiled pampered lifestyle. Yes, real hardships.

Sounds like one of those books that try to make you sympathize with people that have it made.

It's meant to be somewhat of a comedy. Lisi Harrison wants the reader to realize how pathetic people can be just to be considered "cool" and funny it is from somebody else's point of view. I find myself being very annoyed at these girls throughout the entire book, and yet it is very entertaining and, yes, pretty funny. This brings me to the conclusion the Lisi is a great author. ^_^ Me and my friends love to make fun of the way they talk. Example: "Ehmagawd Shay, you are being so Ah-Noying" "Ah-Greed" "Point!" "Given." XD I see myself and a lot of people I know in all of these characters, whether people like to admit it or not these characters are pretty realistic personality wise. Dylan, thinks she is fat. Now you girls can't tell me you haven't complained about your appearence at at least one point. Kirsten, trying to be someone you aren't. I know this happens to most girls at one point or another as well. Alicia, always second best to Massie and yet has was it takes to be first. Isn't it horribly depressing when that happens? At least for me it is. XD Massie, seen as perfect and confident all of the time and she can't ever just vent because that would be a sign of weakness. I'm sure many of you can easily relate. Claire, trying to hard to fit in and yet nothing is ever good enough... I love her character because I can easily relate. She finds that once she is herself she is happy, and people are starting to accept her for who she is...sorta. Yes, these girls are hopelessly spoiled, but everyone is somewhat like them whether they be rich, poor, or "Total LBRs" At first I wouldn't give this book the time of day, but it's surprising and scary how much it reminds me of real life. The Clique is a fun book to read if you just want to read a quick book. I read all of them in a couple of hours tops. ^_^

I love this series! It sounds shallow, and just another 'Popular Girl' series, but Lisi Harrison adds her own input to make these books hilarious.
I currently have read, and own all of them. I can't wait until the next book!

I don't like this series. Why should I sympathize with popular chicks that freak out over stupid crap like, "OMG, I broke a nail!!"? It's not realistic, at least to average people who can't buy everything they want. The books have stupid titles, too.

Why should I sympathize with popular chicks that freak out over stupid crap like, "OMG, I broke a nail!!"? . Why sympathize with them? Don't. XD Lisi Harrison said herself this was meant as a comedy and to show us how pathetic people can be sometimes. Kids are cruel, and they do stupid things for attention. I believe these characters are very realistic in the ways I've said in my above post. But in other ways, I do not know. Growing up in a small town with polite people and good family values I really wouldn't know. Things as she describes in these books are very different then what I know, and yet no matter where you live or how you are raised there are always going to cliques. And sometimes it is pathetic and later on you look back and say "That was so stupid". This is how I see these books. Heck, if each school's story was written down how would it look from someone else's point of view? ^_^

@shay: I so agree with you! What you said is very true about these books.
Ya know I would really love to for them all to have to go to public school XD That would be hilarious, they'd all die, except maybe Claire & Kristen.

I love these books; they never get old. I'm going to go out and buy the newest one, It's Not Easy Being Mean. Alicia is my favorite girl, simply because she and her anti-Massie-ness appeals to me.

EHMYGAWD(no I do not really say that). There's gonna be ANOTHER Clique book after the next one(which is coming out in a few days). It's called Bratfest at Tiffany's. It's coming out on February 12, 2008. I personally can't wait.
