Anybody read Firestar's Quest yet? Since it's a one-book story, I want to know if it's worth my money to buy (it is a one-book story right?). I just want to know if it's as good as the other books or if the plot is rushed or something. Please don't give me spoilers.

I just got FQ today, but I'm not that far into the book. Even though I haven't read that much, I doubt it's rushed, as it's 500 pages, longer than the average Warriors book. And, by the way, it's $18, but Borders has it priced at 20% off; not sure how long that sale will last.

I'm up to page 104 in the book. It's pretty good, just not as good as the real series. It's kinda funny, because it's kinda like a filler because I don't think that the series actually makes references to the Firestar's Quest plot. Oh yeah, I have the Harpercollins e-Letter that gives me news about the Warrior Series. I got this on July 25th
Hi everyone!
So, did you download After Sunset: We Need To Talk from WarriorCats.com? Have you figured out the clues yet? And no, I’m not about to reveal all in this letter! J If you think you have worked out what’s really going on in the play, well done. I hope it makes Power of Three even more enjoyable for you!
I see each Warriors series as a giant jigsaw puzzle, with different pieces adding up to make the individual books which in turn fit together to make the whole. Some of the pieces—character, dialogue, plot—relate to a single book, while others are part of the overall story and might not make sense until you reach the last page of Book Six—or even the next series.
I’m a huge fan of crime fiction, and I love reading books where the author has laid enough clues to enable you to solve the mystery at the same time as the main characters—or even before! The answer mustn’t be too obvious or there’s no reason to read right to the end to see if you’re right. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise either, because it will feel unconvincing. Although Warriors isn’t a murder-mystery, there are always several storylines playing out alongside each other, developing at different rates, and it’s important to keep adding pieces to the jigsaw even if they won’t be completed for a few more books. In order to keep track of all the storylines, I need to plan them well in advance, so I know which bits of the jigsaw to add into each book in order to sort everything out by the end. So, yes, I know what’s going to happen in Book Six of Power of Three—and even in Book Six of the next series! Of course I’m not going to tell you, but I promise that I’m laying clues already so if you read carefully, you might just find out…
Very best wishes, Erin
So, she's planning the next series? I'm hoping that the new series won't be the same as the others and I hope that she doesn't change the setting to a totally new generation where we aren't familiar with any of the characters.

^I still have to get The Sight. I can't afford it & the library doesn't have it. I'm the only kid I know that reads Warriors but Miroku & he's on Forest of Secrets. I'm hoping I get it & Firestar's Quest for my b-day.

^It's a pretty good deal considering that it's about 200 pages longer and costs only $2 more than the normal books. I'm also the only kid I know that reads these books. I gave a couple friends a copy, they said they liked it (can't tell if they're saying it out of politeness or not), and they don't seem to be as much as a fan as I am. Everybody in my school is reading adult literature (To Kill a Mockingbird, Tom Sawyer, Hamlet, books that make me sick, etc.) while I'm still stuck in the Young Adult section. It's not like I can't read, it's just that there are better fantasy books in that section and everyone knows that they get to the point much faster than adult books. I just read for a story and some good character development, not for a theme or to notice symbolism. I wonder why people like to delve so deeply into these boring books and look for things to point out. I'm sorry for the long and complaining post... does anybody feel the same way?

There's a reference to FQ in Sunset. Firestar says something to Brambleclaw along the lines of, "Remember when you where a new warrior and I had to go away for awhile?". And also in The Sight (I got spoiled =P). Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw are special because they come from the two SkyClan bloodlines in ThunderClan, from Birdflight's two kits. Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight both carry SkyClan blood.

I just read the book and I have to say, I really really liked it. It's just as good as the books that are part of the series and although the plot seems kinda fanfiction-ish, it's really interesting and the end was touching.

I've finished Firestar's Quest, and I thought is was definitely one of the best of the series (even though I'm not a big fan of the Firestar point-of-view books). I admit the idea of a five Clan seemed a bit fanfiction/RPish, but the Erins executed quite nicely, especially in it being so significantly related to the Power of Three.

I admit the idea of a five Clan seemed a bit fanfiction/RPish, but the Erins executed quite nicely, especially in it being so significantly related to the Power of Three. I agree. They should've had more background info on the main enemy (trying not to spoil here). I was kinda disappointed in that department. The 3rd book of The Power of 3 is called The Outcast. Immediately, the first name that came to mind was "Zuko" haha, I'm such a loser. I wonder exactly who the outcast is and if one of the 3 is evil, I have no idea which one. Maybe it would be... Hollypaw (we haven't had a female nemesis yet, everything is always about the guys).

Lol, you're not a loser, just a fanatic.
I also suspect that Hollypaw will be the evil one. She just seems so assertive and outgoing, sometimes disregarding others. And I think the last line of "The Sight" she said something along the lines of "we'll (she and her littermates) be able to control all of StarClan". Sounds evil to me. o.o

^ O.o I don't recall her ever saying that... maybe she said something along the lines of "If Jaypaw will be the medicine cat and we'll both (Lionpaw... that's his name, right? and Hollypaw) be strong warriors with the potential to be the next leader, the three of us might be able to control Thunderclan"... that's still evil though. Where did that spoiler about one of them being evil come from? If Jaypaw can see in his dreams and dream-travel, maybe Hollypaw is capable of reading all the virtually undetectable signs that StarClan gives... like for example, she'll see a puddle with a clear reflection of a cloud over it and instantly read the message or something. As for Lionpaw, who knows?

Hey, everyone. Just stopping by to say that according to Barnes & Noble, "Dark River" and "Warriors' Refuge", the second volume of the manga, will be released in December. (I think "Dark River" is due out on the 26th.) I'm extremely excited, and I'm looking forward to more news as to whether Vicky is definitely coming to the U.S. for another tour.
EDIT: Attention all Warriors fans! WarriorCats.Com has been revamped, with a new site intro, layout, and information. And that isn't the best part! There's the forest, lake, and journey maps as well as family trees with information never before revealed in the book. The dates for Vicky's fall tour are also online. Go check it out!

Great, she was here yesterday (the day I had absolutely nothing to do). Why didn't I know sooner? Then again, how was I supposed to know she'd actually go to Ohio?
