Overall fun on the 1st play through but there's no incentive to go back and give it another play through.
I would just like to express my opinion that your opinion is CooCoo bannas.
I Got to the point where I completed the first off-world quest and added Lirara to my group.
I restarted to three hours earlier because I wasted one talent point in intimidate, only to discover I got it for free when I became a specter.
I did not mind at all redoing everything, all those side quests because I loved every moment of it. and I epically loved the combat system.
Speaking of which, how can you even compare the urnbased combat system of KOTR to the squad based shooter/ cooldown system of mass effect?
What diffuclty are you playing on?
You did not that you can control where your squad moves, when to take cover, and when to follow... right?
You did know about the grenades, right?
What class did you play as? because I can assure you, each in unique.
I am an Adept right now, with a Vanguard on another profile.
When I started combat with all the Hoppers, I had to think about what I was going to do first, who I was going to lift, when I was going to throw, that I was going to wait to use the overload until a shield was thrown up, that I was going to assign the combat class to the hoppers until they were all gone, and but the big guy in the back on stasis at the beginning before I limit my people to cover fire.
Playing the combat on insane is reason alone enough for a second playthrough.
And the facial expressions shown in conversation... The way Liara's eyes squinted when she smiled, and when they widened in shock when she thought she offended me... I think Ive got a crush on a clump of pixels, that represents an alien. 0_o
But what I am impressed most with this game so far... is the Codex.
I have spend over an hour just listening the the history, culture, technology, and politics of Mass Effect...
The univirse is so vast, so detailed, it seems bigger the star wars.
Something like that, its impossible to get all o it in one playthrough.
It do have some beefs with it though.
First, you do not get to interact with your squad enough, in KOTR you could get the opinion of your squadmates every time you did a side quest... but they are (for the most part) only vested in th main story line.
But with the quality of the dialogue and the voice acting, putting something like that in after every side quest (and there are allot) would vbe verry pricey.
The other beef I had is, its not always easy to tell what Shepperd will say going off of what you select. I remember once that his option hat an exclamation point... but he spoke fairly calmly... but im getting the hang of it now, you want to select what your Sheppard is thinking.
PS:
you know a game is good when you dream about it.
EDIT:
and because I feel like it.
