Calil was awesome... she was my fastest mage characters, but I left her in favor of Ilyana... Soren was my wind mage (Ilyana was Thunder obviously) and Sanaki was my fire mage. Pelleas was cool too. but yeah, Mia, Nephenee, Shinon, and Sanaki were among my best... others I liked were Zihark, Rolf, Boyd, and the Laguz kings/ (and the wolf queen). but yeah, in this run through, I've noticed that my Mist refuses to die no matter how much danger I put her in, so I usually send her in after the big guys strike and let her finish them off... Nephenee is my wall character... no one gets past her period. Mia is her backup. ~Sanaki~ As soon as I'm able, I have Soren use Thunder magic. Ilyana and Calill, too, cause that's what they come with, but Tormod... I have him use Wind magic. I hate that kid. He annoys me. Bastian, he was cool. I let him learn Fire magic, and he does well with it. And I like Nephenee. I team her up with Brom when I need a wall, and those two work quite nicely together. Especially if Brom was lucky enough to max out his most useful stats (Attack, Skill, Defense, and Speed).

hmmm... I always let Soren totally specialize in Wind Magic... that little guy was a pain in the rear to keep alive though... and of course, some characters, like Tormod and them I just don't bring, even when I have the opportunity to do so.
but yeah, Nephenee can be a wall all by herself... Mia can too. so when they're together... (I had a support bond with them BTW) oohh... DEVASTATION!!!

Just so you all know...
FE1 (The game with Marth in it) is being remade for the DS. I don't believe that a US release date has been announced, but with recent trends, I'm betting it will be.
Nephenee + Jill is amazing, by the way. D=

The "obvious support pairs," sure, but that's how I roll.

Lol, I feel lame that I do supports not for the bonuses, but for the endings at the game xDD I'm too much of a shipper for my own good, I suppose.
Does anyone else love the arenas? You get so much money and experience, I definitely abuse the arenas xDD

You get so much money and experience, I definitely abuse the arenas xDD Ditto on both counts, though Path of Radiance left me cold. I had the A support conversation between Ike and Princess Elincia, and NOTHING! The same for Jill and Haar! But as far as the Arena goes, I'll bring all my weaker characters, within the number of characters you can bring into the stage with the arena, of course, and make them go until they're all anywhere between level 15 and level 20. And that even goes for when they've changed classes. They could have maxed out all their stats in their first class, but there's no guarantee they'll still max in their next class, so the sooner they reach level 20, the better. They're nigh unstoppable when they go 20/20.

I just played Radiant Dawn again, and forgot how amazing it was... Nephenee is bloody invincible, and Mia is impossible to hit.
I actually gave them a support together because I ended up making them follow each other anyways. =P
Jill is downright terrible though. I have never been able to work a wonder with her, and, this time around, I lost her on the first turn (critical from enemy) ~Toph~

Jill is the easiest character in the game to max out stats with.

Jill is the easiest character in the game to max out stats with. Yeah, that's part of the reason why I use Jill. The rest is because I like her.

I used Haar. I never really liked Jill.
LOVE Titania and Oscar. And Rolf. I took him into the final battle.

I used Haar. I never really liked Jill. LOVE Titania and Oscar. And Rolf. I took him into the final battle. I use Oscar early, but because he takes so long to actually get killing blows, I usually just promote him and let him rot. Really, the only horse riders I use are Titania and Astrid.

I never liked Astrid.
Too easy for her to die.
Oh, and the final part where there's a wall between Ike and the rest of the characters (if you've played it, you know what I'm talking about), have Ike maxed. I was getting double, super-strong blows when I maxed him out at base right before.

What are you talking about, Astrid too easy to die? She has that shield, which boosts her Defense and Resistance by 2, even when maxed, then you have support conversations, and if you keep a Cleric near her and have your other attackers stick like glue to the enemy and have her make strategic withdrawls as necessary, she's no different than anyone else.

like with Jill, I was never able to do jack squat with Astrid... out of that group, I usually let everyone else sit back and play pat-a-cake while Calill did all the work...
and of course, I use Mia and Nephenee whenever I can...
and in the endgame, those two, Rolf, Boyd, and Sanaki are my favorites. I tend to bring most of the same people every time I go to the endgame.
Leanne is also my heron of choice... *sighs dreamily* of only Rafiel could fly though... =P ~Katara~

It's really depressing that only 2 support relationships change the end of the game. One of which is set at A when you start, Micaiah and Sothe.
The other is Leanne and the Raven King....
