I love the Super Paper Mario games. They're so funny. I really have to get the new one some time, since I only have two games for the Wii. Hehe.

I love love love the Paper Marios. But in all of them, I haven't technically completely won. Beat the bosses, but not extra stuff. Anyone here beat either of the Pit of 100 Trials? I go all the hearts and beat the bosses, but not the pit. When ( haven't played for a long time, so don't really remember) I beat the Luigi near the end, I jumped on him weird and it just kept hitting him in the same spot, so I won in one jump. My one problem with this is the battles being more live instead of one after the other. I like to think about what I'm going to do carefully and not just hit the enemy as fast as I can.

I got Super Paper Mario.
It's like the old ones minus a lot of the charm.

Toad Town was my favorite place out of that, Rogueport (which I still can't pronounce), and Flipside/Flopside. I didn't like the Pixels either. The partners with different personalities were part of the fun. The first one was just so good that it's hard to match it.

Haven't quite beaten it yet, but I'm over halfway through and contemplating selling it.
It's a huge disappointment. They got rid of everything that was great about the series. Even the paper motif was trashed for eveyone but the recurring franchise characters. All the rest is just "digital" which means half arsed character's and enemies made out of squares and some other polygons.
In the other games you had an interesting and unique cast of characters. Now you have Mario, Peach, Bowser, and a few little translucent polygons with wings that never talk anyway.
They trashed the old combat system because these days everyone goes "HURR HURR TURN BASED COMBAT MEANS THIS GAME SUCKS." So instead of the unique and interesting battle stage we get "jump on the goomba's head" because that's totally fun and innovative.
As for the charm and quirky humor, it comes up occasionally. And I really mean occasionally. This isn't an RPG. It doesn't matter if it has "RPG elements," because it certainly doesn't have any of the good elements.
If Nintendo wants to make a mediocre platformer, they should do it without ruining a fantastic franchise.
