I liked Furuba, but the way everyone is drawn annoys me to no end.

You mean how some characters look the same?? I think that Takaya-semsei's drawings are beautiful, but that's just my opinion. I'm just a bit curious at what you mean (especially since I think it was you that didn't like how One Piece is drawn XD).

Well, they all look the same, and her people are so bland! She doesn't put much detail into it and the eyes look like they don't have white in them. And sometimes, they're out of proportion, even for her style.

Oh, ok! Well, even though I agree that her characters look the same, I still like her art. There are some manga that I don't read due to art that I don't like (I can't think of what those manga are now).

I avoid a lot of manga just for the art style. If I do happen to read them, the stories aren't very good anyway.

I loved Fruits Basket even when it got dark (not much comedy) around volume 12. It is what makes it different from other shojo. It's like it's not your typical comedy-romance. It's people opinion whether they like it or not, but to stop reading it altogether? That's a shame. It even ended wonderfully and some comedy did come back towards the end. Well its good to get to the main point and discuss the character's feelings and stuff. I like the drama and angst but I did feel sad when they left out most of the comedy

I actually like a lot of angst. Yeah, comedy is good, but I always like a little darkness in the series.

How old is she? I assume she's still young.

It seems that manga-ka like video games. Whenever I read the notes at the beginning of the book or somewhere in the middle, there's usually a mention of video games.

She's like 35 but she's still youg. But to make a series great it should focus on the plot but it could have some comedy, but it can't like be the main part of the series. But I love the angst

I haven't read past chapter 1 but it reads like later Furuba ~ all choppy, angsty, and difficult to follow. Makes my head hurt... but still intriguing. It haunts me, wondering what's going to happen next. For those who have continued with it, how's it going in general? Would you say it's worth it? ^.^ I miss the humor of early Furuba, but I love the weightiness of the later chapters, and Twinkle Stars looks promising.

Yup, I dug up links somewhere. (I fully believe in supporting the artist and helping repay the energy they put into the work, but I can't buy it until it comes out in a form I can read...) I think I found it raw, and then on another page I had translations into English from the French Furuba site (or something equally convoluted). That's why it hurt my head to read, flipping back from page to page, not to mention trying to keep track of who said what, since Takaya keeps splicing together thought and speech. >.<
