I tried reading the other Blood+ thread just now, but... I got sick of spoilers, so I felt I had to start another thread, I couldn't bear to finish reading that one.
Anyway. Before the show debuted on adult swim, I bought the DVD of the movie, which I thought was kind of... meh. Alright I guess, but I couldn't really get too into it. I might like it better next time I watch it. Meanwhile, I've been getting more into the series. I'm still impatient to learn more about Saya's past, but at least it's happening, however slowly. What I like about the series (aside from the fact that Saya is much hotter than she was in the movie) is that Saya is like the viewer in not knowing her own backstory. That's the thing about the movie, it's like we come into the middle of her story and know nothing about her, but she and everyone around her seems to know what's going on. And no explanations are ever really given, she just does a mission, and it never makes much sense.
Anyway. I read an article recently in this month's Anime Insider, and it didn't seem to have any spoilers really, beyond what's already been seen in the show on adult swim, but... it still said stuff I hadn't picked up on. It amazes me how much I simply fail to grasp about the show that I'm watching. As I wait for more answers... answers are given and I'm not even aware of it. On top of that, my memory completely sucks, so from week to week I may have a hard time recalling what's going on. I just watched last night's ep, and I have zero recollection of Kai and Riku and their friend being captured by Cinque Fleches or whatever.
Anyway. I look forward to actually seeing this "Diva" they keep talking about. Who they've probably been talking about since alot earlier in the series than I have any recollection of hearing the name. And um... I probably meant to say some other stuff, but I've already forgotten. So hopefully if I have a spoiler-free thread to discuss the show with other people who don't want to be spoiled and haven't watched all the subbed eps somewhere, it will make it easier for me to graps what's going on and actually remember it better...
