How can you deny the godliness that is CP9?! Far and away the best arc in my opinion. In all honesty I was a bit sketchy about the Skypiea arc. I mean yea I liked it, but I much prefer the arcs that show a new addition to the crew or somehow show a new aspect of a character we haven't seen before *nodnod*
and could someone tell me where they are on the Toonami OP so that I know what I can and can't put in spoilers?

In a nutshell: Skypeia and we've officially been introduced to Eneru.

Eneru is soooo cool. But sooooo God-modey at the same time. I remember reading somewhere that Oda said, if he lived on the regular planet, his bounty would be 500,000,000 belli.... Course, I've never exactly been clear on the power of mantra...

In all Honesty, I really don't like Enel because he really is just tooo powerful. I mean outside of Luffy there is literally noone who could fight on even ground with him except maybe blackbeard . He is a god in both name (according to the Skypians) and power level.

If Eneru were a D&D NPC, he'd be a God. But yeah, he is more than a bit God-modish otherwise.
... I'm still mad we didn't get the next episode of One Piece on Saturday.

I'm mad they've been cracking down on One Piece online streaming...I can't find any videos anywhere!! *sobs*
I rarely ever watched the dubs--4Kids scared me away and most of Funi's voices, albeit better, sound too much like the DBZ dubs and so I just simply can't take it seriously. Plus, imo, the Japanese voice acting sounds much more believable...mainly because most of the OP characters are random and noisy and the Japanese excited-ness that goes behind those voices is so spontaneous and genuine.
I hate how the animation changes too. Not just with OP, but with all my fav, long-running animes. It's like the style gets sharper and upgrades from 16-bit to 32-bit color. Call me old fashioned, but I liked the 16-bit better. It looks more like the manga style.

I said it earlier, but the only Funimation voice I truly hate is Chopper's. The rest I can either deal with, like Zolo, Sanji, and Robin, or I find to be better, like Usopp, Luffy, and Nami. I'm neutral toward the Japanese voices of any anime. I like how they assign certain types of voices to certain characters, but all in all, too much energy, no matter the language, can completely kill the character. Look at Tales of Symphonia. In the U.S. release, the voice actors often tried too hard and emphasized the wrong words or didn't even put an emphasis where there should have been.
Now, change in animation happens to every long running anime show. It happens. Fact of life. I'm neutral towards it, too. I enjoy being able to see clearly what it is that's happening on the show, and if a sharpening of style helps me to better see it, then I'm all for it. However, if the original style was fine, but they changed and it looks horrible or not believable, then I'm all for the original style.
I can honestly say that while I enjoy three of the seven Straw Hat Crew voices in the Funimation dub, I, myself, would much rather have the 4Kids voices for Zolo, Chopper, Sanji, and Robin. And to be honest, I don't remember the style of One Piece's art ever changing.

I feel your pain CR. I only read the manga, but when I went to find the filler episodes on youtube or to download they were only with spanish subs. I mean I can get the gists of it, but its spanish! I want some english subs! *ahem*
I must say, I never really was fond of any of the dubbed voices >> but I'm one of those people who either doesn't care or doesn't let it affect them unless its awful. Besides, as I've said before, I only read the manga, so the dubbing doesn't affect me at all ^^

[cough]omgDexter'sLaboratory[/cough] I do agree that some of the 4Kids VA's were better than the new ones. I personally detest Chris Sabat's voice now as, imo, he has very little flexibility. Zoro sounds entirely too much like Piccolo and in DBZ, Yamcha, Vegeta, and Piccolo's voice at times blended. I'm really impartial to Nami...mainly because I don't really like her character all that much to begin with. I kinda miss Sanji's old dub, but not Nico Robin's. 4Kids saw that cowboy hat she wore as Miss All-Sunday and just had a field day making her southern. I'm soooo glad they changed that completely. I'm curious as to how they'll voice Franky.

I agree with you on Nico Robin's voice over. Her old voice didn't portray her character and I found it hard to take her seriously, the voice she has now is a thousand times better. Sanji's voice gotten better in my opinion as well, but they should have kept Zoro's original voice actor. (The one he has now is doable, but his original was more his type.)

Ugh, I detested Sanji's old voice! I remember having never seen the sub, but seeing Sanji's first appearance, and me thinking, "Why the hell does he have a Brooklyn accent?!" It bothered me for so long. I like how he now sounds normal.

I'm sorry, you guys, but I think Nico Robin's old dub voice was better. At least she had character then. Her voice now is just really bland, but I'll live with it. They could have done a lot worse.
And I can agree with Zolo sounding like Piccolo at times and that Chris Sabat having little flexibility.
I loved Sanji's old dub voice. I could hear Sanji as a real person with his old voice. He was supposed to be a "smart talking, skirt chasing sous-chef on the restaurant-ship, the Baratie" and who sounds better talking smart than Brooklynites?
And CR, as far as animation goes, exactly like Dexter's Lab. I loved the old animation, but when they switched to the animation they had in the last season or so, I stopped watching it.

No prob Nerull. You liked her voice, no prob. I'm automatically biased when I watch the dub since I've watched most of the anime subbed already and Robin's voice is rather flat and mature. So I guess that's what I'm used to, for her character anyway. It's really hard for me to take Ussop's voice seriously too since it's just Sonny Strait (Krillin). At times, I'm feelin his voice, at other times, I swear I imagine him saying "Hey Bro. Mondo cool!" *flashback of bad DBZ dub.*

Mondo cool!" *flashback of bad DBZ dub.* I feel the exact same way. (I can remember Vegeta's favorite comment from the old dub was "I'm going to send you to the next dimension." or something like that.) I think the only voice that I really can't stand so far in One Piece current dub version is Chopper's voice. Even when he transforms he still has that whiny brat type voice.
