I saw this the other night. I thought it was terrible. The plotline wasn't clear and the effects were just cheesy. Not to mention it was historically very inacurate.
What do you guys think?
And did anyone else notice the light on the water of the lake at the end wasn't moving? Apparently water stood still during this time period.

I highly doubt I'll see it. It's just a schlock-fest.

Waste of money. It was like watching a really cheesy movie on TBS. Or worse yet, a terrible combo of Apocalypto and 300. Loads of historical inaccuracies/inconsistencies. Plot was sooooo predictable; the acting stunk; ending made no sense whatsoever. Please, save your money--don't see this movie.

^Yeah, I keep hearing that it's bad, which sucks because I know all of that CGI cost a lot of money for the studio. I wish I had recorded the criticism that my friend did for it, it was so funny. She totally bashed it.

Ok, it was unbelievably cheesy, but I enjoyed it. It was nice to see a happy ending for once. But it wasn't as good as I had expected.

i would never go and see this movie it looks terrible. Im quite strict about historical/scientic inaccuracice particulary incredible obvious ones. I saw the trailer on the TV and i just laughed when i saw a stampeed of mamoths through a huge egyptian like building. Stupid.

I haven't seen this, but I think this is just a "crazy what-if" thing.
What if in 10,000 BC, dinosaurs, cavemen, sabertooth tigers and woolly mammoths were still around?
I doubt it's meant to be truely historical at all. It's just a pure action-pack flick for those who just want to kill time. It's not something to be taken literally.

^I sort-of agree with zukofan22 - it has a serious tone, but I don't think it's supposed to be anything more than entertainment. I was expecting to hate it, actually, but it wasn't as bad as I had been anticipating. NOT a favorite by any means, but it'd definitely be more entertaining than say, watching grass grow. If anyone wants to kill an afternoon... Eh, there are worse things to do.

I'm not complainning that its not accurate. I can live with that kind of stuff, if its even remotely explained.
The bad effects were what killed me. Seriously, even if there is no wind or whatever, WATER DOES NOT SIT STILL.

My parents saw this movie. They said the 1960's version was better, which must mean it really sucked.

How can effects be cheesy? In today's age, effects should not allowed to be cheesy!!! We have technology!!!
