I don't see why people hated the first two movies. They made sense and it was back when the actors stayed true to their characters. Many people I know that watched OoTP didn't understand what was happening at all but they liked it. My mom liked OoTP the best and she thought the first two movies were boring. I don't get it....

I think the first two could have been made to be more exciting. I think the third one was the best because it was closer to the books than the 4th and 5th, but still exciting. I didn't like how the Shrieking Shack scene was all gone basically, but the rest was good. I did like the actors best in the first two though. Daniel Radcliffe is not Harry for me anymore and Emma Watson is not Hermione anymore. In the first two - and the third a little - the actors really were the characters to me, but now they're just actors mostly. They didn't evolve the same way they did in the books and that bothered me. If a movie leaves questions at the end that were covered in the book, I don't think it did its job. After GoF my mom asked a million questions about Barty Crouch Jr that should have been answered, but weren't. They could have finished it off better instead of having Snape hit Harry on the head for 5 minutes.

The first two weren't action-packed but I loved them anyway. The third one tuned me off because they switched some scenes around. And they ditched the cool school uniforms!! -_-
Radcliffe and Watson were younger back in the day so they matched the characters more. Radcliffe looks like 20+ years old now. He looked that way back in the fourth movie, too. He was supposed to be playing a 14 year old boy. XD
The movies leave questions and blanks. Good thing I read the books. : )

I could care less about accuracy, my favorites were the 4th and 3rd. The fifth had terrible pre- and post-production jobs, the editing and writing (And directing) sucked badly. No transitions between the incredibly short scenes at all.

HEre is where I got the same info as Nymphadora: www.veritaserum.comIt's true. The WB thinks that the movie will sell more if released next summer. They are already done with the movie production, WHY WAIT?! They JUST released the teaser trailer, and no we have to wait longer for the full trailer and movie. Makes me sick. So much for trying to please the fans (even though the movie is nothing like the book).

My friend called me and told me about it and I didn't believe her at all. I had to go on and check as many HP websites as I knew until I believed it. It still hasn't sunk in though. We finally got to the 100 day mark and then they go an add another 230 days. It's 11 MONTHS away now! But I guess that they aren't changing the release of DH 1 or 2 because of this. So instead of having movies Nov 08, Nov 10, and May 11, we get July 09, Nov 10, May 11. That's a little better right? I'm not really understanding the reason either. Is it because the writer's strike made it so that there wouldn't be many new movies comnig out in July 09 and WB wanted HP to fill the space in? If that's it, it's such a lame reason.

WB says that it's partly cuz of the writers' stike, but mostly cuz they believe HBP will sell better in Summer. The stupid movie is in Post-production. Why not show it now? I'm getting used to knowing it'll be next year, but I"m still mad. And yes, now the wait between HBP and the first DH movie will be shorter. IT's good but it doesn't make me feel that much better about waiting almost a year. Oh well, I'll just keep an eye out for more pics to be released and whenever a full trailer comes out, I'll be happy to see it. And when HBP is fianlly released, I"ll go see it.

Someone had questions about Dobby apparing in this movie, and the answer is that both the sixth and seventh (parts I & II) will not have Dobby in them. The voice actor said he would not be making another appearance. *Spoiler* That sucks because he dies in the seventh book *end spoiler*

Do you have a link to where that was said? I hadn't heard that and it would seem weird to cut that out when it is a pretty significant death...

I'll find it. I know the guy said it in an interview somewhere around this past January. I'll post the link when I find it.

Hmm... 'cause David Heyman did mention that Dobby was expected to be in the Book 7 movies ~ maybe they just benched him temporarily for financial reasons? Interview link
