The Great Divide, definitely.

I wouldn't say this about any other episode but Great Divide- SUCKED! Not at all vital to the plot and a dark spot on Avatar.

I don't think "The Great Divide" added much to the overall plot, if at all. Agreeded it didn't really move us anywhere or trully deepen the characters.

Top runners: Tales of Ba Sing Se Avatar Day The Great Divide Note that Tales add details to the story of appa and at least for aang for searching for appa and Avatar Day gave us Zuko & Iroh splitting up...may not be much but it add to the overall of the story.

I say the Great Divide. Did it really have anything to do with the plot at all?

i have to say that Tales of Ba Sing Se was COMPLETELY useless! I lived the episode but it did nothing for the plot. I watched it again to find it's purpose an i found NOTHING. but yes i do agree that the great devide was just as useless.

I propose a new idea: THE FORTUNETELLER. Completely irrelevant. When I first got into the Avatar fandom, I saw every episode EXCEPT 114 on the day they aired. I didn't even know that episode existed until after the second seasons finale while watching fanvids. Completely useless. Sure, tons of lovey-dovey crap in there, but it was irrelevant. It may not be irrelevant in the future, but at the moment, in my opinion, it was useless. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.

Most of the eppies that didn't add much to the plot were the funniest. So Avatar Day, Tales of Ba Sing Se, The Great Divide and The Fortuneteller were it.

I'd say the Great Divide, the Cave of Two Lovers or Avatar Day. *hides from Kataang shippers*

I would say "Avatar Day". The great divide comes in at a close second, even though it served as a mirror to him solving the bigger disputes...hopefully of which will not involve deception, eh?
Although Avatar Day did gives us a look at Avatar Kyoshi's history - that was pretty spiffy. ;D

all the episodes not having to do with the plot are really not all that bad *cough* except for the great divide *cough* i call them filler episodes, and i just think the creators plan out episodes having to do with the plot line then add episodes for fun-usually for shipping reasons. but if you really wanna know all the fillers i think there........... season 1 warriors of kyoshi- (this was for shipping) the great divide- (i just don't know why they made that one it sucked-maybe just for fun?) the fortuneteller- (for shipping) the northern air temple- (don't know why-just for fun) season 2 the cave of 2 lovers- (definatly for shipping) avatar day- (just 4 fun) the tales of ba sing sei- (just 4 fun) .............................................................. and even those episodes people think are fillers like imprisoned, and the king of omashu have some contributions too like in imprisoned it gave zuko reason in the water bending scroll to bribe katara with her necklace. and in the king of omashu gave them a reason to come back in reaturn to omashu. even bato of the water tribe was just an episode to get katara's necklace back. really there are more fillers in season one that you had to think about than season 2 cause it has so many plot lines spread out ever where unlike saeon two that just has 3- for aang to find an earth bending teacher (episodes 1-9) telling the earth king about the solar eclipse (episodes 10-18) and the gAang savin ba sing sei from azula, which they didn't do(episodes 19 and 20) as for season 1 lets not even get started on the plot lines, and my hand hurt so that's my opinon oh and for season 3 right now i think the painted lady just sounds like a filler eppie to me, and the beach. but that's just me i'll let you conclude your own opinon.

The Great Divide. That episode had nothing to do with the plot in any way.
How is the Warriors of Kyoshi a filler? The Gaang gained allies (a.k.a. the Kyoshi warriors). If it wasn't for this ep., Azula, Ty Lee, and Mai could've never carried out the plan to take over Ba Sing Se. They couldn't have disguised themselves as the Kyoshi warriors. They wouldn't have been let in because they wouldn't have been able to pass off as friends of the Avatar.
The Fortune Teller was mostly filler, but there was something in there that contributed in later episodes.
Northern Air Temple gave the Fire Nation the balloon controlling thing that Sokka came up with. They'll probably put the balloon controlling mechanism into effect in season 3.
Tales of Ba Sing Se told of what they were doing in their spare time and I know there was something I saw in there that contributed to the plot.

^^^^^yep, yep....all the filler episodes added something...even if it was little....The Great Divide showed us how Aang is slowly growing into his role as the Avatar: ultimate problem solver. Avatar Day gives us some more Kyoshi history..and let's us know Aang's past lives can be contacted by getting Aang to wear their clothes...I guess...

Yeah, but the way he solved the problem just doesn't seem like something he would normally do. I say FILLER. Unless those two tribes come in and help in season 3, then that ep had no point.
