Well, I'm Filipino also but I never liked Filipino cinema. Bituin was ok I watched it a bit cause my grandma was a huge fan and the villainess made me laugh.
Asian movies that I've watched:
Hero Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon House of Flying Daggers Shaolin Soccer Almost all of Jackie Chan's movies that were early in his career Feng Shui (sp?) that one Filipino Horror/Comedy movie (I really can't remember the titlexD) My Little Bride The Ring
Asian dramas I've watched:
Winter Sonata Bituin (if a couple episodes count) Jewel in the Palace (around 3 episodes) Encantadia (does that count as a drama?)
I think that's it. I never watched Sukob cause it didn't sound interesting to me.

Just got to see this the other day - find The Host.
It's Korean and came out in 2006.
It's a monster movie but it's not scary (otherwise I never would have watched it) and it's quite funny really.

The Once Upon a Time in China series; I love Jet Li's early works A lot of Jackie Chan's early films are good too, too many to name though And I love most of the Satoichi films, except the first one, it was extremely long and ridiculously boring
