CT has deteriorated a bit here in the past month.
try to step it up folks, no trivial chat, we have the general boards for that. Research your replies and if doing so takes you away from the computer, so be it. Libraries are a great source of information.
When you post new subjects, be precise in the explanation. Of course we want it to be open for discussion, but don't just throw a phrase in that is so broad it covers half the known universe and then some.
Narrow it down and keep your responses sharp.
Keep the CT rules in mind, back up your opinion with sources...links are fine, if offline sources are used, state the author and publication/name of the book...
A little reminder for newcomers: CT is the rough end of town. Have your arguments backed up and responses sharp. Anything you put out will be scrutenized and picked apart! If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen!

Keep the CT rules in mind, back up your opinion with sources...links are fine, if offline sources are used, state the author and publication/name of the book... I'm in full support of this and I would like to add a little bit. When adding a new topic please only include information necessary to introduce the topic and start the debate. Such as , general information about the topic, quotes, images that are relevant, or other information that is vital to understanding the discussion. But don't post your opinion in the introductory post as it becomes hard to tell what is fact and what is opinion. Its also easer for a debate to start with good information and little personal bias. Stop making debates personal! This has been an issue for a while now debate the topic and leave personal shots out of the discussion. A good debater doesn't need to insult other posters to make his or her points. If this continues warning bars will be considered. Stay on topic we had had several debates that have gone so fair off topic that they are not able to be salvaged. On a lesser note Watch the language remember swearing is not allowed in CT. BB

And feel free to use 'tinyurl' to shorten the links and minimize failing links...
