Ok,
reality check here, I need to voice some opinion here on the subject of Marriage and having a child,
I say this is because in the Avatar World, the age requirement is 16, but in terms of making a child, well that come to 17(or 18) and up, but some people here take it as marriage at 18 and up and having a child in their late 20's to early 30s,
The fact is this is a Fictional Series, not a reality series, and the fact is I figure many need to know that this show can have different effects then of what we see in real life, as a result we get jumbled for this kind of miscommunication,
And so, I want your points and opinions of what age do you think your favorite Avatar Pairing would seem reasonable to get married as well as having a child too?

Honestly, I'm not on board with anyone who says the second the younger member of the pairing hits marrying age (which is probably universally 16), they're going down the aisle.
I want them to wait a while (17...18...maybe 19?) to get married. Having a child is even further down the line. 20 is minimum for me.

As long as any canon or fanon ship doesn't settle down until they're much older and know it's what they truly want, I'll be more than satisfied. Ditto for when it's time to start baking the tater Tots.

Hmm. Well it would seem Ozai and Ursa had Zuko pretty young, because Ozai as he is now (with a 16 maybe 17 year old son; and a 14 year old daughter) looks very very young.
I don't know...when they said that Princess Yue turned 16 (marrying aga) that's like saying in our world, that she was 18 and she's legal. I don't the characters in Avatar actually marry at that age, unless it's arranged.
However you have to realize that in the Avatarverse, everyone's 2 years ahead of us, if that makes sense. Like Toph--she's twelve, and trying to find herself---we don't do that til we're 13 or 14 maybe even 15; Zuko asking what he wants in life, isn't that 18 or 19-ish? And he's only 16. Sokka's fifteen and yet, he's acting very responsible (like a leader) and we don't do that til we're a bit older.
Pairings? I don't know yet.

Pairings? I don't know yet. Well this topic also talks about it, just make sure it makes sense and well give us some insight on it, it could prove good if they do have some form of a future scene after this season comes to an end.

as the standard (as far as has been shown) is 16 for marriage (as would 18 be in our world) I say 16 or 17 for marriage, maybe 17-25 for having children. It would seem the Avatarverse matures much quicker than our world, which is where I get the ages.

Hmm, honestly, Mai and Zuko are the only couple I can easily see getting married and having children. Maybe it's their constant physical displays of affection, but I have no trouble seeing them getting married in a year or two once Mai turns 16. Of course, cartoons always age characters up, so even though Mai is officially 15 and Zuko is officially 16/17, they act like they're older (at least when they're around each other).
Aang and Katara would have to be 20-ish. They're both obviously too young at this point.
Sokka I could see marrying in a year or two.

I think if Sokka marries in a year or 2 he'll get a divorce on the first week I don't know why

I'd like all of them to wait until they're at least 20. We know people in the Avatar-verse routinely live to 100, so what's the rush?

The reason Sokka would get a devorce so quickly is because hes far far too much of a pimp to be burdened with a single woman.

Definitely. "Well, aren't you a pretty young thing, miss! Were I but a few years younger..." Iroh = Sokka in a few years.
