i'm gonna have to agree w/ ya on this one, trust^_^. i don't want another "jet" either . i don't like repetitive things. Besides Iroh already lost a son, killing of yet another would be pretty crule and, as you already said repetetive, wouldn't it?

hmmm that all depends on how the next season goes, power. i personally have to see more of what the characters are thinking before i can say my opinion^_^. don't know what trust thinks though^_^
yes i agree, trust. iroh has had to deal w/ too much. he's already tired. i don't think he'd fare too well if he lost someone else he cared about.

Just a theory for Season 3.. I'm thinking that, Zuko will let Iroh free & stay with Azula in BSS to unravel her plans. Then, once he gets Azula's trust.. or maybe thinks he does, he'll send a message to Iroh about Azula's plans. Where does Iroh fit into this? Iroh could be looking for the gaang, & deliever the message to them.. so that they would know what's going on in BSS. Then Zuko gets caught by the Dai Lee and loses Azula's trust. Anyone else want to add to this? ^^; nyah, i don't know.. just for fun.

Iroh may seem tired, but his wiseness and perseverance is what holds him up.

Is the army of BSS still in town? Because then having the EK in the gAang will come in handy. They might try to retake BSS again, which I kind of even hope for, because the earlier the gAang meets Zuko, the earlier he can redeem himself. My favorite part in the season finale, was actually, when ZUko said "I betrayed uncle", because it's one of this sentences, that really mean ALOT. Zuko betrayed uncle Iroh on many levels, not only by siding with his sitser (the obvious one), but also by letting him down, because he didn't do the right decision, Iroh demanded him to do, because he turned away again from fighting of his inner demons (urge to proof himself to Ozai) and giving in into his new persona (which as a matter of fact I kind of liked. It was creepy at the very begining, but it was nice to see Zuko smiling and being calm.). I don't know, why but I expect him already to take side against Azula from the very first episode on (seems unlikely, but it would be a plottwist like whoa o.O). I guess the gAang could be interested in saving Iroh and I think, that when this happens, Zuko will redeem himself by helping them sacrificing his own freedom for his uncles. I'm not a huge fan of the Zuko sacrifices his life, because something like that already happened (Jet redeemed himself this way). I'm not a huge fan of melodrama anyway and it would be too fanfic-like, if everyone who makes a failure, has to repay it with his life all of a sudden. how long do you think Zuko is going to take to redeem himself to the gaang now that he has Aang's near death encounter possibly weighing in on his head? I don't know. I can't predict the future. It was Azula, who shot Aang down, if recall it correctly. But there are things, that could make the decision for the gAang for Zuko easier, although he sided with his sister: Aangs experience with Zuko in "the Blue Spirit" (the friendship proposal), the possibility of Iroh acompaning the gAang (although not for a long time I think), Kataras knowledge of a similar past she shares with Zuko, the possibility of Zuko becoming a gAang member and maybe even being the one, who helps him master fire (after all Zuko is the one, who has most experience in struggling with firebending (something Aang seems to will have to deal with in the future) and afterall, all current bending masters of Aang are rather young). Who knows, maybe all it takes is one noble act? We will have to wait and see, but I'm sure it will happen and kind of think, that it happens earlier then we expect, there is definetly a big plot twist coming, because his decision, doesn't fit his season 2 development and several hints and foreshadowing moments from this season.

Hmm, I've read a couple of threads on the Ep. Discussion Board awhile ago..about Zuko and Iroh have things planned out theory and playing Azula's game. So, it really got me thinking. ^^

hmmm it's possible, mitsu^_^. although i'm not sure they planned it out, they may do that later^_^
yeah i agree, trust. sometimes all it takes is one moment for things to happen^_^.
i know what you mean, trust. i don't want iroh to lose someone else...especially someone he treats like his own child...even if iroh is probably disappointed in him at the moment.
i think zuko is pretty powerful, power...and he has beaten a few people others call masters, so i'd say he's at least high ranking in firebending ability now^_^.

It's even harder to believe, because Zuko seems to be like an obvious substitution to his own son. well we know that already, but do you think Zuko is classified a Master to teach Aang firebending if he ever joins the gAang? Like I said. Aang fears firebending. He said it before, when he was meditating, sure he has overcome the guilt of almost frying Katara, but I think that he still fears, it's destructive power, this inevitably leads to Aang struggling with mastering the element, something only Zuko can relate to as he is the only firebender, with exceptional skill, who was shown to having problems in mastering the element due of his emotional problems (turmoil). Being a master, like sifu Kisu once said in an interview, is about being aknowledged by someone else as a master, it's not really a rank you can obtain by collecting belts of some sorts. And I think, that the show itself follows this philosophy, because Kisu is the martial arts consultant of it afterall. So if Aang actually starts seeing Zuko as his sifu, he will actually be a master. Zuko and Aang are attached to each other, just like Aang is attached to Katara and Sokka. It was like that from the begining of the show on. Zuko was, oddly enough somehow almost always accompaning Aang, making his almost something like a gAang member, although in many cases it was unintentionally. Although their development mirrors, the plot they follow doesn't. Zuko is part of Aangs journey and the more he developed in seaosn 2, the closer he become to joining. What we are about to see in season 3, is Aang actually winning Zuko as his master. Aangs firebending sifu, HAS to be hard to get, afterall it's the nation Aang is fighting against and Zuko represents this very element by not only being the main firebender of the show, but also "bordering to savagery" sometimes like the bending itself as JoengJoeng described once. Zukos latest decision, seems to make him doubt his previous goals and it clearly makes him doubt his pride too (you don't see him being proud of his actions at the end of the show atleast). It's this humiliation, that may probably make him join (as weird as it may sound). i think zuko is pretty powerful, power...and he has beaten a few people others call masters, so i'd say he's at least high ranking in firebending ability now^_^. ITA. Zuko showed amazing skill in the seasons finale, although it kind of sucks that he used it against Aang and Katara^^. What makes it even more impressive is, that he went back to his season 1 behavior during this fight (doing Ozais dirty work), which means that he hasn't overcome his inner turmoil yet. I can't wait to see how his firebending looks like, without being conflicted.
