I think Song exist to be a guide/tactician for Zuko to get around the Earth Kingdom. The boy is never going to find Aang ( or Katara) with out her help. You saw how hopeless they were, Iroh eating poisonous plants and all. Hmm... I do like this theory in all due honesty. Perhaps Song will also find out in helping Zuko and Iroh that he is the banished prince that is now a fugitive and relative of the very people that killed her family and scarred her... so much for these two pairing up if this theory goes as you put it. I think if anything, Song will help Zuko see the wrongs of the Fire nation.. and that is a pretty good purpose for her character. If she discovers that he is the banished prince and relative of the very people that killed her family and scarred her.. we start getting into foreshadowing from the legend of the two lovers..

Haha try to refute me hah? No Song is the tactician she would see how valuable it is to have members of the Fire Nation royal family on the Earth Kingdom side. By having Prince Zuko former heir to the throne and almighty general Iroh on their side would do for moral. Iroh being the key. Iroh is the most famous general in the Fire Nation, with such a title why would he leave. I'm sure allot of the normal soldiers who look at Iroh like a god is wondering. That why Ozai so intent on getting them both back. For one thing if a tactician is good enough they can use Iroh and Zuko to start a Fire Nation rebellion. Yes I know Nick not going to make is so tactical , but a girl can wish.

Again explained why it is not foreshadowing for that pairing. The clothes were not Fire Nation red and Earth Nation green but Fire Nation Red and Water Tribe Blue. Personally I don't think she will chase after them. She could have ran out there when she saw them stealing it and yelled out "STOP THEIF!" She also has no ride now. Zuko took it. I think Zuko and Iroh with their birdy can now maneuoveur fast enough that they need not worry half as much about being caught. Their venture into the Earth Kingdom also showed them that they can risk going into cities perhaps.

You're saying that Song is trusting, which in itself can be a flaw. You also say she is a love interest, thereby contradicting everything you said before about there being nothing between Zuko and Song. I say it again: THE GIRL HAS HAD FIVE MINUTES OF SCREENTIME! If Zuko only had five minutes of screentime, we'd think he was a evil, bullying, nasty b*st*rd. Give the girl a break. If this pairing exists then she exists solely as a love interest. I do not believe it exists and will not until I see something that actually proves it does. You guys will not believe on mere inference of my ship so I will not believe in yours. Eh? I don't think I said I wouldn't believe. *Ah, it would be bad to let one/(?) persons opinion on a ship influence your opinion on theirs. >.< You miss the glorious, Tameranian fun!* Yay-TT!

Haru also had a ton of airtime, and Katara did seem to have a little crush on him. But has he been back since then? no.

besides, if the mountain in the legend represented an obstacle, the one between Katara and Zuko is much more obvious...
Edit// WHY CAN'T I TYPE FAST?! *smacks slow fingers* was in response to youkaislayer's last post..

True. Katara is actually engaged in fighting the Fire Nation and Prince Zuko represents the Fire Nation in spite of his banishment.

Song did remind me of a character from another anime show.. but I can't put my finger on which one.. Edit: I don't think Aang's too immature for Katara... 1. Aang hasn't done anything completely irresponsible yet this season 2. I think he helps Katara relax.. she has fun with him.. This season... Yeah, he helps her relax. Friends help eachother relax too. Sorry (actually no I'm not), I'm just not for the Kataang ship.

Their venture into the Earth Kingdom also showed them that they can risk going into cities perhaps. She didn't run after them because that would have gotten Zuko killed. Hello their in an Earth Kingdom town there are guards there if she scream out the guards would have went after them and realize it's Prince Zuko and general Iroh. The Earth Kingdom have no knowledge yet that Zuko and Iroh are in there mist, obviously the Fire Nation don't want them to know either for the how rebellion thing i was writing about earlier. You should thank her for not screaming. Now Zuko is somewhat free to get lost with out having to always look behind his back. Also that a town I don't think city would be that open they would have check points like Ba Sing Ce. The blue and red... no if you look Zuko clothes are now mostly grey to represent him being confused. If it was Zuko and Katara i think it should have been blue and grey.

I guess it's just symbolism... kids could understand: fire = red, water = blue..

It has nothing to do with what clothes they are wearing now but everything to do with which the colors represent. Red represents fire and the Fire Nation whilst blue represents water and the Water Tribe.

I guess it's just symbolism... kids could understand: fire = red, water = blue.. maybe is just to represent who's the guy and who's the girl. Blue-girl, red-boy.
