I don't think it'll happen, he seemed like a one-time character to me, kinda like Song. But Haru wasn't a Gary-Stu. I hated Song, so Mary-Sue-ish. Blah!!!

I don't know what I thought when I first say him. I think I liked the KataraxHaru thing right away because then I still didn't ship anything. And man, I wish it was still that way, then I wouldn't have all this shipping headaches. Ah, but Zutara is worth it ;D

yes and that's good! I remember it! lol
Well, I hate it when people say that people started liking Zutara because of WS, but that's not why I started liking it, and there's lots of other people who started liking it for other reasons.
Anyways, we should be talking about the splendors of Karu!

Why is this thread falling? Why? Ahem... anyway, onto some Karu stuff. I was watching the shipping reel posted by avatar spirit. I can actually make out the noise in the background now. *gasp* It made me so sad to think that Karu had been booed off the stage, especially since it is such a great ship. Anyway, I think Each character needs to serve his or her purpose if they've appeared already. Characters like Jet, who've had an episode named after them were more than likely to serve a bigger role in the series. Being the bad guy, also gives you bonus points to having a reason to coming back and getting revenge ;)...now Haru...I'm not sure if he's served his purpose or not but I really do hope that we can catch a glimpse of him either in a future episode or perhaps even in the final battle against the Firenation! If more characters are introduced in the series then his chances of coming back will be even more slim but I still have hope that he will help Aang fight the Firenation in the final battle alongside characters like Teo and Chey! Wouldn't it be cool to see them again? I want to see Jeong Jeong too. On that note, although Jet had an episode named after him, Suki did not and neither did Foaming mouth guy. They both were given reappearances, yet Haru, who had an episode dedicated to him, did not. In fact, Haru was inserted in a game as opposed to Suki and Jet... who did not. Boo. I shall protest with picket signs if they don't give him a reappearance.

Don't be sad Almighty. I really think at the final battle, all the characters that the Gaang came across in their travels will all stand up together and fight against the Fire Nation. (Including Zuko) So far, I have not been right at all on my thoughts and predictions.. but that would be so awesome if all the characters showed their support for Aang and fought for their freedom as well. It would be great to see all those brief, yet unforgotten faces.

Ah boo. The thread is falling again.
Anyway, I really hope Haru comes back. He better. I need to do some more Haru fanart in protest... right after I finish my homework. ><

Just to bring something to this thread because I hate seeing this thread fall.
The misconception that Haru is a Stu shocks me. Seriously. This is something that has spread throughout the fandom and is utterly ridiculous. The idea that he is a stu is a fallacy. Period. If you don't think that he has any faults, then you must be in denial to see it. His faults are shown blantantly clear in the 20 minutes that he received. It has been shown that he idolizes his father and practices earthbending as a way to be with his father. Don't say that he loves his father and is gay because Zuko is the exact same. If you accuse Haru of geing gay and loves his father, like incest, then you are also accusing Zuko of the same. Second, we have seen that Haru is sensitive and gentle while at the same time protective. We have seen him say more than he could chew which is totally human, and he also characterizes those who are more shy and reserved as opposed to the other characters who openly express their feelings. In a sense, Haru is there to show that earthbenders are not all muscle and brute strength. He is actually there to represent the earthbenders who are graceful as opposed to forceful. Further, we have seen Haru show great inner strength because he was able to hold himself together while in the concentration camp. True his father is there, but Haru seems to be the youngest there and is already forced into hard labor as a war slave. The fact that he didn't break down and cry showed that he is not a wuss, as most people claim him to be, and that he is able to hold himself together when the situation is not going his way.
