Hokna collapsed to the floor, and the tray of food came crashing down to the ground. Aqulu looked up at the stranger, she frowned in disgust. "Kiyouh?" She readied her staff.
"How did you know?" he smirked, looking down at the unconscious summoner. Aqulu looked over at Hokna's staff on the bed. "I do my research." The girl outstretched her hand, and gathered the staff in her palm. Within a matter of seconds, she had the young man pinned against the wall. But all he seemed to do was smile. "Too late."
Aqulu's eyes widened, and she felt the room start to spin. With one last motion she broke the top of Hokna's staff, and watched as the Aeman freed himself from the crystal cage. She met his eyes with a desperate look.
"Find Akira."

Hokna was running away from Kiyouh in a dream. She was inside her house, alone, no servants to help her. All of the doors were locked, and she couldn't open them. She started to cry, and asked herself why she wanted to be a Summoner in the first place. "Hokna..." Kiyouh said, smiling. "We're all alone, no one's here...." Hokna raised her staff. "Shut up! What were you doing at the inn?! Why am I having this dream? Why...." Kiyouh placed his index finger onto Hokna's lips, silencing her. "I just happen to work there, you know. Sometimes Summoners can work somewhere at an inn or a restaurant, but never at a market." He studied his fingernails on his other hand, looked up and Hokna, and raised his eyebrows. "It could cause a riot." Hokna saw that her staff's top was broken. Snap... she thought. Hey, at least I can show Aqulu how good I am at crafts... "Too bad you won't see your friend again," Kiyouh said, pinning Hokna on one of the walls. "Cause you're coming with me..." Hokna slapped him across the face, sending him across the hall. Hokna took advantage of it by running to the front door. She tried to open it, but couldn't. "Oh, gosh!" Hokna said, silently, while kicking the door. It opened, and she ran through. She saw Kiyouh grab her while she was running out.

Akira suddenly woke up. The room was dark and she was alone. But something felt wrong.
As she rose from her bed she reached for her staff and crossed to the door. There, in the hallway she heard a noise. A floor boards was creaking, but no foot steps...Akira waited. There, the sound of a doornob being turned, ever so slowly.
What could that mean? She opened the door quietly to see through the crack. A hunched over person disapeared into the room next to hers.
A burglar? She wondered...she could hear faint noises from next door. like furniture being moved, than a thump...*like a staff falling over* Akira thought.
Quickly she crept out into the hall and peaked through the door.
A hunchedover figure was attempting to shoulder a lifeless body of a young girl.
*The Summoner!* Akira gasped.
Like the wind she was in the room. In this cinfined space her own staff was of little use.
*Put her down you creep!* She demanded.
The young man looke vaguely familiar... He looked surprised, but hesitated to put his catch down. Akira noticed the girls staff in the floor, she had aalmost stepped on it. *The Aeman!*
Quickly she rolled across the floor while grasping the staff.
"COME FORTH!" she commanded as she held it up...

Hokna saw Horyojin shove Kiyouh off of her in her dream. "Get way for her, you loser!" He turned to look at Hokna. "Wake up!" Hokna woke up to see Kiyouh holding her. "Well, it seems that my twin brother woke you up...what a shame..." "Wait, so you're not the Aeman?" Akira stood there, holding Hokna's staff. Horyojin was about to poke Akira's back until... "Horyojiiiiiiiiinn..." The Aeman stopped. "Sorry..." He sat down on the bed. "Ohhhhh...comfy..." Kiyouh forced Hokna's mouth open and tried to shove down some of the food that was on the floor. "Eat. Now," he said threateningly. Hokna only spit it in his face. "You lose, creepy guy!" She slapped the back of his head, and Hokna got down, and picked up Aqulu and her other belongings. Horyojin followed Hokna, and Akira did the same.
When the four companions sat safely on the grass, Hokna looked at Aqulu. "Now I can show you how good I am at making staff heads..." "So you have a twin human brother?" Hokna heard Akira ask. The Aeman hesitated for a moment. "Yes..." Horyojin said. "He is..."

*Look here, Plantboy! Spit it out or I put that seed where the sun doesn't shine!*
Akira pointed her staff at Horyojin.
*Ah, darn. I ran out without my gear...* Turnning to the Aeman I am going back to the inn to retrieve my belongings. You better come up with something good, or I'll give you the thrashing of your life! And while you're at it, see to it that those girls stay safe!*
She quickly disapeared in the inn's door...

Aqulu opened her eyes subtly. The sun's rays were streaming through her lashes, and it seemed to cloud her vision. "Hok?" She murmered. The young Summoner looked up, surprised. "Oh, you're awake! I was afraid I'd have to make a new staff head without anyone to teach!" She smiled warmly.
Aqulu pulled herself up, and sat against the base of the tree in the inn's courtyard. She watched carefully as Hokna began fashioning together glass. She looked over and saw the Aeman, but what about..
"Hokna, where did Akira go?"

When she returned Akira not only carried her bag, she also held a huge sack.
*Breakfast* she grinned
*The Innkeeper was shocked to hear that someone tryed to kidnap one of his guests. He appologized profusely and insisted that I take this buns! Oh myd goodness, they smell devine!*
*But I guess we need to postpone it for a while, you still look kinda greenish..., come to think of it, you greenish friend had an unhealthy shade of brown when I released him from the staff! Did he eat the food as well?*

"Piro!" Aranjee exclaimed. She ran through the threshold and hugged her friend. Mash came up behind her, and the three queens embraced. It had been months since they were last together.
"It is so good to see you," tears of joy came to Aranjee's emerald green eyes. "Who's this?" the Orange Queen noticed a tall blond girl standing by the grand staircase, watching the reunion in silence.
"Aranjee, Mash," Pirogoeth began. "I'd like you to meet Taiyou of the Witheria Dimension. She's a light enchantress."
"Wow," Mash said in awe. "Anyway, I'm Mashnipfaeri the Blossom Queen of the Phamakian Kingdom."
"It's an honor to meet you," Taiyou and Mash bowed in acknowledgment of one another.
"I'm Aranjee the Orange Queen of the Unai Kingdom," the red head explained. "Welcome to the Maitu Dimension, Light Enchantress Taiyou."
"Thank you, your highness," Taiyou once more bowed, and Aranjee did, too.
"Now that the introductions are over, let's celebrate!" Piro declared.
"Well, actually I was just leaving," Taiyou reminded the Slurpie Queen.
"Come on," Mash placed a hand on Taiyou's shoulder. "This is a special occasion, you should stay.
"Oh, I'd hate to intrude on your reunion.
"We'd love if you'd join us," Piro said truthfully. "Besides, where else will you go?"
Taiyou pondered upon this question for a moment. She didn't have anywhere to go, she had run away from her dimension. Her new friends were all she had. "Okay, I'll join you in your festivities."
"Great!" Piro exclaimed.
"Yes, I haven't had Macalanian food in the longest time," Aranjee's voice was full of excitement. "Penguin, fish, slurpies, and frozen cake. . ."
"Maybe you and Mash should go up to the guest rooms first," Piro laughed. "You're soaking wet, and aren't you the least bit cold?"
Both the queens now realized, that goosebumps covered their skin and that they were shaking from the never ending Macalanian winter. Aranjee suddenly noticed that the massive palace door was still opened. Apparently, Piro noticed too, because with a wave of her hand, the icy entrance shut with a boom, that echoed through the marble foyer.
It's good to finally be here, Aranjee thought, grinning. For the first time in many months, she felt peaceful.
About an hour later, Piro, Mashnipfaeri, Taiyou, and Aranjee were sitting at the long stone table in the Royal Dining Hall. Each of the chairs was cushioned with a small purple or red goose feather pillow. At either end of the room were granite fireplaces with roaring fires that radiated heat and light throughout the vast dining room.
Despite the warmth, the magnificently carved ice sculptures that lined the walls stayed completely solid. It was the most cheerful room in the ice palace. . . and the tastiest. For the table was adorned with foods from the farthest reaches of Macalania. Delicacies both traditional and rare. Pirogoeth always did throw the grandest feasts.
"This is amazing," Taiyou spoke in awe.
"Thanks," Piro beamed, "Only the best for my friends.
"Speaking of which," Aranjee said, taking a sip of an orange flavored slurpie. "Thanks for letting Mash and I borrow some of your robes.
"Yeah, you have a great sense of style," Mashnipfaeri complimented.
"Don't mention it!" Pirogoeth took a bite of steamed salmon.
The three old friends, and one new, continued eating in silence and bliss. Finally Mashnipfaeri decided to start up some conversation. "So when are we going to see Luna?' she asked.
"Who's Luna?" Taiyou questioned.
"She's the Moon Queen of the Hountai Kingdom, and our best friend," Aranjee answered. Taiyou nodded.
"Why don't we leave the day after tomorrow," Pirogoeth suggested. "You to are probably exhausted and need some rest," she addressed Mashnipfaeri and Aranjee.
"Sounds good," Mashnipfaeri agreed, in between bites of frozen spinach. "Taiyou, are you coming with us?"
"Oh, I'm not sure," Taiyou did not wish to be a burden, Plus, she felt embarresed by Pirogoeth's immense charity.
"Come on," Pirogoeth said. "The after our visit there, we can find you a place to stay permanently."
"Alright," the light enchantress complied once more with Pirogoeth's plans. What was to be a simple journey though, the four friends would discover to be a great adventure.

The next morning, the four friends sat together in Piro's room, chatttering as they sipped tea and munched on mint truffles, biscuits, and pancakes flooded with syrup. Mashy grinned as she swallowed a bite of the biscuit she had, wiping the tips of her mouth with her fingers. "Does Luna know we're coming?" she asked Piro. "What if we surprised her?" You could see the corners of her lips spreading out into a larger grin. "I mean, it might be rude, but it would be so fun." Aranjee shrugged. "It would be rude..." she began. "But still, I don't think Luna would mind." Mash waved her hand, popping a mint truffle into her mouth as she shook her hand. After finishing it, she opened her mouth to speak. "Er, never mind. I don't know." She shrugged casually, taking a sip of tea. "What do you think, Piro?"

Hokna started smile and sing. "Ring around the pentacle, let's go have some fun..." "Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!" Horyojin said. "Anything but THAT song!!! Good gosh!!" The Aeman started to cover his ears.

Aqulu began to laugh. She hadn't done so in a long time, and it felt good to express herself with her new friends. "Hok, pass me the toast, please?" She motioned towards the large silver tray that Akira had carried out. Her arms were still weak from earlier, but she could lift them ever so slightly. Hok took the bread off the platter, and handed it to Aqulu while still focusing on her staff tip.
"Akira" Aqulu began, while breaking apart her breakfast. "Where have you been all this time, that we only seem to meet you when we're in danger?" She plopped the buttery piece into her mouth and began to chew softly, making sure to savor the taste.

Hokna took one of the buns and ate it. She took some wood out, and her carving knife. She turned to Aqulu, who had just finished her conversation with Akira. "Now, to make a new staff top..." Hokna started. She took the wood, and made it into something that looked like tree branches. She was a master carver when it came to making a new staff top. When she was done making a hole in the wood, she took out one of the crystals and placed it into the hole and made the hole tighter with help from Akira. Hokna watched Aqulu watch with amazement. When Hokna was done, she got up and slung the bag of items over her shoulder. Aqulu did the same with hers, and Akira with their food. "We should go to the Hountai Kingdom," Aqulu said, looking at Horyojin. "And we need to put him back in the staff." Hokna smiled. "I thought you never asked." She repeated the Trapping Spell, and the Aeman mumbled and grumbled, but didn't resist going back into the staff.
Akira looked at the Summoner and the Black Mage. "Did you say that you two are going to the Hountai Kingdom? That's too bad; I'm going to the Unai Kingdom to find the Queen and to go home, but you can call me by using this." She held up a Topaz crystal. "This is a Crystal of the Call. You can use this when you're in danger and you need me." Akira smiled and waved. "I think we will see each other again very soon." Akira walked, and then disappeared. Hokna stopped waving and turned to Aqulu. "The Hountai Kingdom is your home, right?" Aqulu nodded, and smiled. "You showed me something that is amazing. Now I want to show you something in return."

[Mashy just asked what you thought about visiting Luna without telling her first. And we're sitting and drinking tea. As for Hokna and Aqulu--I don't know myself. All I know is that Kiyouh briefly appeared ]

['K. Thanks! ;D]
Piro smiled at her friends and took a sip of her tea just as she heard a loud knock at the door. She set her cup down on the table and walked over the door. As soon as the door opened, a young man walked in and ploped down where Piro had been sitting and began intently listening to Luna and Mashii.
Piro sighed and glared at him. "Ota.... What are you doing here...?"
Ota grinned at his sister [Piro] and took a sip of her tea. "Just checking up on you, my darling little sister!" ^.^
Piro growled and shoved him away, then sat down next to him, muttering darkly about being his 'Darling sister'.
[^^, I like Ota. ;D]
