After his apology Riko decided she had enough with being mad so she simply smiled at him and said “Apology accepted.”
Looking around she saw the villagers were giving her wary looks but she ignored them and focused her attention on an old man trotting towards them.
“Riko of the Fire Nation I presume?”
“Yes. What is it?”
“A message from the chief, he requests that you go to your quarters now instead of causing trouble. Considering you just happened to be near the training camp of all places I suggest you go now if you don’t want anyone thinking you’re a spy.”
“Very well, but first I have to have dinner so if you could kindly tell me where to get some I’ll be on my way.”
“Well, I think one of the cooks prepared some sea prunes for you but if you would like anything else just go over to one of the shops. Oh, and you might need this.” Replied the messenger as he reached into his bag to hand over a satchel of Water Tribe money
Turning to Nokoro he gave him a friendly pat on the back and said “That was some outstanding Waterbending from what I’ve heard. A pity I couldn’t watch the whole thing.”
He gave a bow and ran off to whatever else he was supposed to be doing. Riko found the messenger strange for in the Fire Nation she never met messengers who were so friendly…for lack of a better word to describe him. With a slightly embarrassed expression mixed with confusion she turned to Nokoro and asked
“By the way Nokoro I guess this means I’ll be going now but can you tell me, what exactly are sea prunes?”

When Nokoro finished keeping in mind that not all Fire Nation citizens are evil, Riko smiled at him and said, Apology accepted. Nokoro exhaled a large sigh of relief and gave a relaxed smile back to her.
But, then an old man interrupted their conversation and asked, Riko of the Fire Nation I presume? The man looked like he was in his eighties. He seemed like a respectable official with high authority. His dark blue eyes showed a sense of anxiousness and stress.
Yes. What is it?, Riko said to the old man. It was weird how she quickly went from a friendly smile to a serious expression in such a nonchalant way.
She must have a very strong control over her emotions to be able to do that., Nokoro thought to himself while Riko and the old man continued talking about dinner and money. He had heard about how firebending required a calm mind and absolute control over emotions. He had also heard that the most important emotion for firebenders to control is anger, because if a firebender let his/her anger get out of control, the same thing would happen to his/her firebending, and everyone knows that firebending getting out of control is dangerous.
After Riko and the old man finished their conversation, the old man turned to Nokoro, gave him a friendly pat on the back, and said, That was some outstanding Waterbending from what I've heard. A pity I couldn't watch the whole thing., with his worn out eyes glowing with amazement as an interestingly excited expression swept over his wrinkled face. Nokoro speechlessly grinned with pride while he was overwhelmed with the fact that a wise, old man actually complimented his waterbending skills.
After the old man bowed and ran off to his work, Riko turned to Nokoro and asked, By the way Nokoro I guess this means I'll be going now but can you tell me, what exactly are sea prunes?
Oh, well sea prunes are one of the Northern Water Tribe's favorite delicacies. But, just so you know, you need an acquired taste to consider sea prunes a delicious meal, so I suggest you eat something else, unless you want to throw up., Nokoro replied with a small, friendly chuckle, But before you leave, I just want to know one thing. Are you, in any way, offended by or angry at the fact that I'm going to fight against your nation? Because even though you and most of the citizens of the Fire Nation aren't sinisterly evil, the Fire Lord is, and he needs to be taken down from his powerfully arrogant, royal chair in the sky. I hope you understand.
While Nokoro waited for her to answer, he hoped that she would understand his situation and accept his actions.

Nodding her head Riko decided it would be best to eat something else. I wonder if they have fire flakes? As she thought this over Nokoro asked another question.
"Are you, in any way, offended by or angry at the fact that I'm going to fight against your nation? Because even though you and most of the citizens of the Fire Nation aren't sinisterly evil, the Fire Lord is, and he needs to be taken down from his powerfully arrogant, royal chair in the sky. I hope you understand."
Riko was kind of taken aback with his questions but she regained her composure and said
"I'm not offended. Actually I'm quite grateful." Riko bowed her head and continued
"The Fire Lord doesn't care about the Fire Nation at all and it's because of him that my family is the way it is. Then again I don't blame my ancestors but if the Fire Lord's family just didn't....nevermind. Basically, I don't care what happens I just want my family and nation to have peace again but I will fight for my nation. Mark my words. See you later then."
Riko hadn't known that her hands were already beginning to flame but thankfully for Nokoro she walked off to get some dinner where to get dinner however she didn't know.

After Nokoro asked Riko his important question, she seemed a little surprised by it, but she still replied, I'm not offended. Actually I'm quite grateful., and bowed her head. Nokoro was stupefied by the fact that Riko had actually bowed her head for him.
I have never imagined, not even in my wildest dreams, that a Fire Nation citizen would actually bow for me., he thought to himself while his light blue eyes shone with complete astonishment. He felt like he was special because he was probably the only Water Tribe citizen who a Fire Nation citizen had bowed for, during the war. That was really something!
As Nokoro cleared his thoughts of amazement, Riko continued by saying, The Fire Lord doesn't care about the Fire Nation at all and it's because of him that my family is the way it is. Then again I don't blame my ancestors but if the Fire Lord's family just didn't.... nevermind. Basically, I don't care what happens I just want my family and nation to have peace again but I will fight for my nation. Mark my words. See you later then.
Nokoro was very pleased that Riko agreed with him about the Fire Lord and the war, but at the same time, he felt sad about how the Fire Lord and the war had affected her family.
As she walked away to find some dinner, he yelled, Bye Riko! Good luck! Then, he realized that her hands were beginning to flame after she angrily talked about the Fire Lord, the war, and her family.
I guess she hasn't mastered controlling her emotions completely., Nokoro pondered as he walked back to the training camp with exhaustion, She needs to perfect her skill of controlling her anger if she wants to master firebending. He had extreme fatigue from all the events that happened today, so he just went right into his bed, closed his eyes, and went to sleep in his training uniform.

Riko turned her head slightly after hearing Nokoro yell a good natured good bye. “I wonder what I can eat here.” She mused to herself as she walked along the streets full of vendors. To her right she could see some fancy restaurants but decided she didn’t have enough money for that and decided on some street food. “Hey! Fire Nation girl!” The yell had come from a little 6 year old Water Tribe girl.
“Yes?”
“Whatcha lookin’ for?”
“Um, food. I haven’t had dinner yet.”
“That’s sad my Mommy always said we should have our dinner early and with our friends and family.”
That’s very nice.” Replied Riko obviously wondering why she was talking to some little girl.
“I can show you were to get the best blubbered seal jerky around here! Wanna come?”
“But your parents…” before she could say another word the girl had already pulled her to a jerky stand
The little girl smiled and looked up at what Riko presumed were her friends or relatives.
“Auntie Ami I found you a new costumer!” she remarked happily
“Little Lady how many times do I have to tell you not to do things like this? But if she wants to try some of my jerky I’ll give her some provided she has money.” Replied Ami who looked Riko up and down realizing she was Fire Nation
“Well Fire Nation girl? My Auntie makes the best! Try some! By the way I can’t keep calling you Fire Nation girl…what’s your name?”
“My name is Riko. It’s nice to meet you two. So, how much would this get me?” Riko asked as she pulled out her satchel of Water Tribe money
Riko hadn’t known how hungry she was. In the end she ate two plate fulls of blubbered seal jerky with rice and some sort of egg soup. The jerky was certainly very good along with the egg soup and she praised Ami because of it which Ami took with a dozen or so blushes gracing her face. It was getting pretty late so after a while asking for directions she found her “home” for the time being.
The room was just the right size and had a lot of animal furs around the floor with a small table and assorted Water Tribe trinkets on the walls. Two doors were opened and they revealed the bathroom as well as the bedroom which had a very comfy futon. Absolutely exhausted from the days events Riko plopped down on the futon, closed her eyes, and fell into a peaceful sleep.

Little to late though, huh? Besides, you better get back to your tent too." Aoi said. Maiku felt stupid. She was already soaking wet. "Yeah, I guess I was a little late, Maiku said with a little smile. I would go to my tent if I had one, Goodnight Aoi" Then Maiku quickly walked away. "Where am I going to sleep," Maiku thought to himself.
Everything he pocessed he had with him. After what seemed an eternity of searching he found a soft spot of sand. He plopped onto the ground and fell asleep.

He plopped onto the ground and fell asleep. "You don't have one?" she asked, shocked. You mean the army forces their soldiers to go without shelter? "Well, I better get going too. See ya later." And with that, she hurried away to her tent. Once there, she stripped down and huddled in her blanket until she was a bit drier, and when she was, she quickly dressed into her jinbei and went to sleep. In what seemed like a blink of the eye, it was morning. A weak thread of blue light illuminated the tent, but the patter of raindrops still remained. Sticking a head out of her tent, she witnessed an early morning, with the soldiers, in tattered uniforms and attire, waking. This place is awful…I should go find Maiku. That was his name, right? Dressing, she grabbed the armor and slipped it on, making sure it was on right before going outside. She waddled like a penguin across the muddy and damp grass, swaying with her arms stuck out. This armor is hard to walk in...! she though grumpily, glaring ahead.

It was cold, yet flames enveloped Shinasha. She was running, but she didn’t know why. The suddenly the flames in front of her parted, and a dark figure appeared. He was enormous, growing bigger every second, and he stretched his arm towards her. Shinasha could see he was laughing manically, but all she heard was a menacing wail. Sweating all over, she froze in fear. A giant hand grasped all around her, closing with tremendous strength… She opened her eyes, and found herself looking upon an endless field. Two armies came marching towards each other, below the hill upon which she stood. Suddenly she became aware of people standing next to her, clad in brown and red armor. One of them raised an arm, and both armies stopped. One army brown and red, the other green. Banners of the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom waving in the steady breeze. A horn blast sounded, but it was dampened, and far away. The armies charged into each other. The vision blurred, and the two armies changed into an incredible landslide and a firestorm crashing into one another. For a moment the fire seemed to be losing, almost snuffing out through the choking force of the endless rock-fall. But then it rekindled with blazing intensity, and the inferno swept straight through the rocks. Earth melted to lava or burned like coal, and soon there was nothing left… The image blurred again, and returned to the battlefield. Countless bodies lay strewn about the charred field. The sky was dark and the air heavy with smoke and the stench of burnt flesh. Shinasha found herself standing amid the bodies, and watched as women and children bent over barely recognizable bodies, looking for loved ones, crying. Her eyes and nose stung from the stench, and she looked around. She started walking, and looked at the corpses. All were dressed in green, and all were burnt to some degree. A fear came over her, and her search became frantic. She ran from body to body, between weeping people and wailing wounded. All she could see was earth-kingdom soldiers. She kept running, searching. It seemed to last hours. Then, at last, she found what she was looking for. One soldier. Not clad in green. But the browns of the Fire-Nation. Shinasha stood still. His armor was battered. Hit legs lay at an angle, and he had a nasty cut in his side. A large pool of blood stained the earth around him. A broken sword lay nearby. But his face was pristine, not a spec of dust tainted his pale skin. Then suddenly his head veered up, and Blank eyes stared Shinasha in the face. He raised an arm, and tried to grab her by the throat. She screamed…
And woke up. She breathed heavily. The blanket around her was soaked with her sweat. She looked around. She saw she was inside a tent of yellow fabric, with wooden beams set up in an ingenious construction. Two bags and two rolled blankets lie in a corner, and she could hear soft talking outside. A pale light shine in through the opening in the front of the tent, betraying the ongoing sunrise. Shinasha shivered and started to dress up for the day. The flap opened and Tetsu entered the tent. He handed her a cup of hot tea and smiled. “Here, drink this. You were having a nightmare.”

((Sorry I take so long, BC))
It didn't take Huime long to decide she hated Ku'Yei.
Ku'Yei was a medium-sized island dominated by an enormous grey stone fortress. Aside from a small garden of ferns and shrubs, the entire island was devoid of any plant or animal life. Huime didn't know if there simply had never been any, or if it had all been obliterated when the Fire Nation took ovre the island. Either way, it was different from what she was used to. The Water Tribes used every part of nature to their benefit; the Fire Nation seemed to see it as an obstacle.
Inside, the stone fortress was dark and dim and depressing. The gloom inside the fortress was stifling. The stone walls seemed to absorb the light from the torches inside and wash out all the colors, so that even the bright red banners that decorated the wall looked old and faded.
As soon as she was able, Huime rushed outside to the tiny little excuse for a garden. She was still amazed that she had managed to find her way out of the fortress (Every hallway was totally identical and it was impossible to navigate). She doubted she would be able to find her way back to her room, but for now that didn't seem like such a bad thing--at least out here in the open air she could breathe.
She watched the men at the docks moving cargo and repairing ships. The salty scent from the sea fought with the wood-smoke smell from the firebenders to create an odd smell that tasted neither pleasant nor unpleasant, simply alien. Huime couldn't decide if she liked it or not. It seemed like the whole trip was like this. Everything seemed off, and she wasn't sure if it was her, or everything else. She hoped the negotiations wouldn't take long; all she wanted to do right now was go home.
Huime crossed her arms and stared out at the sea.

(Finnaly I can play again D: )
Tengu dicided that he liked Ku'Yei.
The strong grey fortress loomed at the cliff of the lsland's rocky side, and showed an impressive shadow over the ocean water. Tengu smirk, he had a hopeful feeling about this place. Waya continued to vomit over the bow. "Are we there yet?" He younger Hei'Mieow groaned as he took his helm and stared out to sea. Tengu gave Waya a piece of candied ginger, to help quell his younger brother's stomach. "Were almost there."
Finally reaching Ku'Yei, The soldier got off the boat and stood proudly as the stuffy nobles also came to shore. Tengu helmed and quiet looked around out of boredem, he though about humming something when he saw a figure walking on to shore. It was a woman. Water-woman. Tengu's cheeks flushed A very pretty woman

It was midday, and the noon sun was almost unbearable. Lee paused a moment to sip from the waterskin, only to find that it was almost empty.
"Moko, where's--" Lee started, but Moko had already pulled their second waterskin from his belt and was holding it out to Lee. "Thanks." Lee took a long draught before replacing the stopper and handing it back. He looked at Jing, walking farther along the road than the other two, and frowned; she seemed unafftected by the heat. "How can you stand it?" he asked.
Jing glanced over her shoulder and smiled mischevously. "Maybe I'm just tougher than you, big brother."
Lee rolled his eyes and didn't reply; he wasn't about to get into an arguement over manliness with his little sister. Instead, he pulled the map from his pocket and consulted it again. "Okay, we shouldn't be more than a half mile or so from that town...in fact, it looks like it's just over that ridge." He pointed towards a hazy line along the road a little ways off.
"Good," Moko said. "The sooner we get there, the sooner we can get to Omashu."
Lee frowned at his friend. "What's your big hurry? We've been traveling hard for a week now. Maybe we deserve a little rest."
"We've been over this, Lee," Moko objected. "The Fire Nation has troops spread out all over the Earth Kingdom; even isolated towns run the risk of invasion. The only safety we'll have is when we get to Omashu. Not even the Fire Nation armies can invade that city."
"Whatever," Lee murmured, still unconvinced. They had almost reached the top of the ridge he had pointed out earlier, and he was getting impatient. What he really wanted was to find an inn that had actual beds and decent food. Just as they surmounted the hill, Lee said, "See, Moko? I told you there was nothing to worry..." He trailed off when the group stopped dead, halted by the sight that greeted them.
The peaceful village that had been marked on the map now looked more like a fortress. Hastily erected stone walls surrounded the town, and soldiers dressed in red livery patrolled the battlements, armed with spears and bows. Guards were poted at the gate to the town. But the most disconcerting thing of all was the huge, red banner hanging over the gate. The banner embroidered with a stylized flame symbol.
The Fire Nation had beat them there.

Maiku woke up with a start. "Where am I," he asked. Then he looked around and remembered that he had joined the army. He got up and mud began dripping off of his armor. "That's why you should never sleep outside when its raining," Maiku thought out loud.
As he finished cleaning the mud of his armor, a group of people gathered around him. "What's up guys?" Maiku asked with a hint of fear in his voice. "You're going to pay for what you did to me yesterday." It was the man who tried to steal his bow yesterday.
"I was only trying to take back what was mine," Maiku quickly said, trying to avoid the confrontation. "Oh really," the man said. Before Maiku could even open his mouth, someone hit him from behind.
Maiku then spun around on the floor, shooing fire all around. He hit several men, and they left. But the rest came at him and started kicking him. Then they pulled him up and started punching him and throwing him around.
Finally they knocked him onto the floor. His armor had absorbed a lot of the blows, but that still wasn't enough to help him. He was now helplessly lying on the floor. That's what you get for trying to be nice Maiku thought to himself. In the distance he say a figure. "It must be Aoi," he thought to himself.
He mustered what little strength he had left, and called out, "Aoi help me!!!"

Kensesu stayed in his room and decided he would spend the night and pay in the morning. HE had just laid himself in the bed and put oon some nightclothes when he remembered he didn't say a thing to his fellow cart group members. He had ventured downstairs when he heard uproarious laughter directed at him. It took him several moments to realize the issue. He was in a nightgown, while surrounded by country thugs who probably wore the same clothes for days on end. He had ventured outside, amazingly without an angry speech when he saw increasing amounts of sodliers moving up. He sprinted back inside to shout the news again. (sorry, but I need to go, and this is day 7 sans post )

After several minutes Maiku began to give up hope. "I probably wasn't loud enough," he thought to himself. Then just as he was about to abandon all his hope, he remembered a certain technique Master Poe had taught.
The technique involved breathing regulation, and if done correctly, it can help him ignore his pain long enough to get his revenge.
He began regulating his breathing. At first he found it difficult, but then he had achieved his goal. He got up, and looked at All the people around him. They stopped their attack and stared at him with astonishment.
He began shooting fire blasts at his assailants. They began to flee, but Maiku smiled as he saw he one fall to the ground after being hit.
He picked them off one by one until only one was left. The man who had started this fight. Maiku decided that he was going to use the basic lightning his master had taught him.
He charged up his lightning, and just as he was about to shoot, the pain he had put away came back. The pain was so unbearable that lightning he had formed shot straight into the ground, totally missing the man.
Then he dropped to the ground. "All I can do now is hope," Maiku thought to himself.

While walking, Aoi began to hear a commotion, so turning towards it, she narrowed her eyes to let her sight penetrate the rain. What the...? i]
After a moment of studying, she figured it was nothing, only to here someone call out for her. Eh, I’m sure it’s nothing… she figured, until, suddenly, there was a bright flash of light.
What the?! Was that…lightning?! Racing towards the source of the supposed lightning, she stopped to see the boy she had met earlier, Maiku, lying on the ground.
“W-what? A-are you all right?!” she questioned, kneeling down.
