(OOC: The journy will start at night (RP night of course) and i'm not exactly sure how long it will take. Any suggestions?)
Shinju walked around for a few moments, trying to find her uncle. Evenutally, she heard his loud, carrying voice midst a crowd of several people.
"....leaving at night. It will be easier to leave under the cover of darkness." She heard him say, pushing her way through the group of people. Stopping, she listened to the others.
"But if we leave at night, the Fire Nation soldiers could be waitng for us!" Someone cried. Her uncle shook his head.
"Why would they want to deal with us? We'd be of no use to them." There were murmers of agreement. Her uncle grinned slightly.
"So then, when the sun sinks, we'll leave. We'll have to travel a little ways first and then we'll stop and rest for the rest of the day and then the night. Does that suite everyone?" He asked, staring into the corwd.

Luci heard a mans voice booming to the crowd and turned around. He declared that the group was to be leaving at night.
Luci sighed. There were Pros to leaving at night, but Cons as well; as with any plan. She walked toward the interior of the group.
Luci sighed with impatience and sat down abruptly. She might as well rest until they decided to head out.

Rendai reached the front of the group, ready to get some sleep to prepare for the journey ahead of them in the morning, but instead of laying down a young boy no older than 10 came running up to him and told him to report to his possition. Rendai let out a slight sigh, a little dissapointed that his rest would be postponed but followed the child without a word.
When he reached his position he found that the other guide, an older man nearing 50 and the front guard where all assembled. As the older man saw Rendai he rushed over mumbling something about being late, and not enough time to plan as he came. As he reached Rendai he pulled out a large map of the Earth Kingdom. The map was incredibly detailed, reflecting even what differences in the season might make on a journey. The man put his finger on Omashu and traced a route to Ba Sing Xe on with his finger. The route was more or less a straight line there, and would be the fastest way to get there. Then the old man looked to Rendai as if to ask what he thought.
Rendai looked back over where the man had traced his path, and found only two flaws. One: it led the group through a rather long canyon, with nothing for at least a day and a half of walking, and with the large group that they had Rendai figured they might have to double that time, and he didn't want to travel through such a small place with such a large group. He brought up his objection to the old man, and he swiftly changed the route to go around the canyon.
The second problem was that it brought them dangerously close to a town that was recently taken over by the fire nation. If the fire nation was stationing troops there, there would most likely be a large encounter, something Rendai wanted to avoid, when he told the man about the fire nation ocuppation the man replied, "I was there not a month ago, only a few weeks after it was captured, and there were only ten or so troops placed there, and many refugees. With the amount of guards that we have we could help those people."
Rendai's eyebrow rose quizically. If what the old man said was right, they could most likely help the people there, but if he was wrong they could all be in trouble. "I think it would be nice to help those people, but there is too much rist for us to decide. We should take this to the leader of this escapade before we make a decision."
"No, that man doesn't care about them, he'll have us bypass them to have glory for himself. If we ask him those peoples lives could wither away. We're the only chance we have, can you possibly take that away from them?"
Rendai thought about what he knew of Shinju's uncle. He seemed a little self centered, but the old man was right, they needed to act fast if they wanted to help them. "Fine, but when we get near, I'll go ahead with a small group to see if you're correct, if you're wrong, then we're changing routes."
The man thanked him and put the map away, saying that he would lead the first day and that Rendai could do what he wanted. He also was the one to inform Rendai that they would be leaving tonight, instead of in the morning. With that new news Rendai headed toward the back of the convoy, maybe he could find Shinju. Though troubling thoughts of their ruite plauged his thoughts.

Luci sighed. She had been sitting running her finger through the sand for over an hour now. She gave an incredibly bored look. It was almost dark now, hopefully they'd be heading out soon. She looked around. No sign of Yoshitsune. By now she had forgotten what she was going to ask her anyway. All she wanted to know now was when they were to leave.
Luci gave an irritated moan and lay down on her stomach, she rested her head on her arms.
All I can do is wait then. She thought to herself.

Shinju had left her uncle and ahd wandered a little ways off through the rocks until she could only hear muffled sounds of the camp. She sat down and began to draw again with her finger, creating an image that that been burned into her mind: a mountain with a large river flowing down from it. She sighed when it was finished, barely being able to see it because the sun had sunk so low. She slowly stood, stretching her aching limbs. She turned and headed back to the camp where she noticed Rendai staring at a map. Her gaze swiftly changed in the direction of a larger group, her uncle just visisble. He was whispering quietly to some older men.
Shinju rolled her eyes and was about to walk away when the whole camp seemed to shiver. She stopped and saw that the owner's of the ostrich-horses were lashing them to the carts, getting ready to go. Several people that Shinju took to be guides were positioning guards around the group that was forming. All around her, she heard the quiet chatter of people, making sure each had the belongings they would need. Someone tapped her on the shoulder and she turned quickly, staring into the face of her uncle. He grinned.
"Instead of being in the back, you'll be circulating around. Start in the front."
Shinju nodded and her uncle patted her roughly on the back and left. She watched him go and then made her way to the front of the line, helping several people along the way.

Luci looked up.
Finally. She thought.
She jumped up and walked toward the front of the group. Everyone was being positioned, or gathering the last of their things. She decided the front was where she would walk. Or near the front at least. She reached behind herself and pulled a container out of her bag. She drank a bit of water, and reached once again to return it.
This'll certainly be an interesting trip. She couldn't help but think.

As Rendai left the old man, the amount of activity seemed to skyrocket. He didn't think that they had been talking long, but the sun was already setting, so they must have been leaning over that map for an hour or so. He stretched his sore limbs as he slowly made his way to the back of the convoy, helping people collect personal belongings, settle down ostrich horses and attach them to the front of carts, and most commonly helping people up that he had knocked over when he wasn't paying attention.
The idea that they were traveling that close to a fire nation encampment still troubled him, but he told himself that they would deal with that barrier when it arose. Before he knew it he had reached the back on the convoy, he looked around but didn't see Shinju anywhere. He thought that she was supposed to be back here, but maybe he had heard wrong. He started walking around the side of the constanly collapsing encampment looking for her. He wanted to talk to someone and get his mind back on the here and now.

Luci moaned. She was getting extremely impatient with the wait. But of course, everyone had stuff they needed to pack. She had nothing except her bag. She sighed and decided it would be best if she helped people that needed it. Maybe it would move things along. She walked around looking for anyone in need of assistance. Found one or two. Somebodies Ostrich Horse was getting jumpy. Of course, Luci understood why, with such a crowd, any animal would get tense. She helped calm him down, and went along to help a few more people while the group leaders decided when to finally head off.

"Hmmm...ready Shira?"Azula asked her. Their plan went like this: Shira went to the nearest Fire Nation controlled city/town, with Ty Lee following with smoke bombs, then when it was clear, Shira would send a flame in the air, then Mai would walk in, acting like a "chauffeur(sp?" to Azula, and they would walk into the city. When the group got close, they'd attack. "I'm ready, Azula-oneedono. Let's go Ty Lee-'Neechan!"Shira answered, the two set off. "Onee-Chan...you have the smoke bombs, right?"Shira asked, Ty Lee nodded and said, "Sure did, we couldn't get in the city!", "But...'Nee-Chan...can't we jut say that we're in the circus, or that we're coming to make sure that Azula-Oneedono gets safely into the city?"Shira asked, Ty Lee blinked. We hadn't thought of that...Ty Lee thought, shaking her head but laughing that Shira had thought of something that herself, Azula, and Mai couldn't.
They reached the city, Ty Lee told the guard, "Let us in. We're making sure the way to the city is safe for Azula-Dono.", the guard nodded and opened the gate. A few hours later Mai and Azula were in the city as well, joining the Governor of that city, who happened to be Shira's dad. Shira stayed by Ty Lee the whole time, not knowing who the man was. "Onee-Chan...who is he?"she whispered to her cousin, Ty Lee shrugged, "Dunno...he's familiar-looking though, isn't he?", "I can't tell...but he keeps calling me 'daughter' or 'Shira Hi', my real name..."Shira was confused. But she had to help follow through with the plan...the group she'd spotted was getting closer...

After helping the man out of the ground, Yoshitsune had set off back towards Luci. But when she reached the place they had been standing she was no where to be found.
The sun slowly departed to roost under the horizon as Yoshitsune continued to search for Luci. She could tell that everyone was getting ready to leave at night, for a refugee had told her of this new news.
But then she spotted her, assisting some of the people of the group who needed it.
"There you are! I was looking all over for you Luci! I'm sorry I was gone so long. Some earthbender got himself stuck in the ground."

Luci smiled. "That's okay, help was needed." She replied.
"Anyway," Luci said looking around, "it's getting dark, do you have any idea when we're gonna start heading out? I heard we were leaving at night, but it's practically night now, and nothing. They must really be contemplating this trip, because it's been hours since I've arrived here." Luci looked around again. "And people are STILL packing."

"I was actually going to ask the other leaders when they thought we should be getting on after I met with you again. I'm assuming they're still deciding on a route that is the safest. But, I being one of the leaders should probably be over there discussing too. You're welcome to come with me if you'd like. They most likely need all the input they can get."Yoshitsune said, as she turned towards the leaders who stood at the front of the group.

Luci shrugged. "Okay, to me, the sooner we leave the better. We're not gaining anything by delaying the stay here. All that would do is put off the journey."
Luci glanced behind herself. "And I'm pretty sure everyone is decntly finished packing. And it's not like I have anything I'm planning to do." Luci laughed. "I'll follow you, I'd like to know exactly who is in charge of the safety of everyone here."
Luci smiled and followed Yoshitsune to the front of the group.
