That was really odd but I think it has to do with total control. When you brainwash someone you want to control them and if they are showing emotion and defying you, she says she doesn't think she can do this anymore, than you have to do it again or you lose all control.

I first thought Joo Dee was really creepy, but I started feeling sorry for her when she was at the King's party and she couldn't stop the Aang gang from trying to see the King. Then I really felt bad for her when she had that conversation with Long Feng during "Lake Laogai." I'm a total softie, I know.

Do you think there is an army of JOO DEE! *RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!* I like how this prediction was actually right ;D In "Lake Laogi" we actually see a Joo Dee army!

So, assuming the Gaang wins and balance starts to return to the world (and i think we all agree they will), then what happens to the joo dees? they've been so heavily conditioned, some probably for years and years, that they may never fully return to whoever they were before.
I have this incredibly sad Image of lake Laogai becoming a quiet, peaceful sanitorium for all Joo Dees who are lost in themselves for good... Someplace where they can be cared for and looked after, as well as a reminder of the horrors of the old Dai Lee shadow government.

Iunno, I have a feeling that they might still be actively employed by the Dai Lee, seeing as how Dai Lee are siding with the Fire Nation forces now.

Right now, sure, they are still a tool of the Dai Li, and thus Azula. Who knows what they are up to...
