Hey yo. I am planning on dressing up as Barrel from the Nightmare Before Christmas this Halloween. I would LOVE to have an actually wood mask to have with the costume, but my skills as a carpenter are rather limited. Does anyone have any tips or links on wooden mask making?

Holy Moly, you have huge ambitions! Wooden mask making is a highly skilled endavor! Google such thing s as fasnet Allemanische fastnacht etc...
What I would suggest, either use plaster of paris bandages - what casts used to be made from, then either use it straight up or make a model of your face on which you can build up a papermache mask. Still involved enough. (just amke sure you use plenty of fascial creme when you do that and cover all hairy thinks in your face with plastic wrap, Eyebrows and lashes....or you skip the waxing in the process!)
