The thing I like most about "REBELLION" is how Aang comes off as the bad boy that Katara's family and friends warned her to stay away from. Which really isn't that far from the truth.

I want to make it clear that when I call Zuko Emo, I don't mean it in a bad way. How could I when he keeps hilaritizing me with his every appearence?

The "Priorities" poster is about how Katara wants to FIGHT! Even though she has healing abilities, she has no intention of letting them define her, thus turning her into every other anime heroine out there (Orihime, I'm looking at you).

I could understand your anxiety if Zuko were involved in a romantic relationship with Azula, as she does embody all that is wrong with the Fire Nation, but Mai is no more evil then Ty Lee, and she hardly pisses anyone off. Zuko will be the good and noble Fire Lord that he was meant to be, Mai won't corrupt him. Here, have some "Appa's Lost Days" to ease the pain.

Pong is the next-door neighbor of the Gaang in Ba Sing Se. In the commentary on Season Two, the creators say that he was originially supposed to have his own humorous subplot as their wacky neighbor, but he kept getting cut out for the sake of time.

On the whole, I found the Gaang to make for much better poster material. I'm certain that the third season should help address the imbalance, though I'm still going to favor the antics of Aang over the emo of Zuko.

Very nice with the first and third one, I mean it makes it enough of a reason why we need these kind of posters, only to know that it makes it more interesting every time we see a new poster, even of that, stuff that seems to aways come up as a "Sexual" type of subject makes it even more better.

The new one's are great! I love the "Enemy Birds" made me bust up laughing. Really love them all, although the first one of Mai and Zuko was distrubing, but then it will always be disturbing to me. Great job, can't wait for more!

But all episodes are not created equal. To be truly fair, you would do as many as you could for each episode, and letting the amount of funny dictate how many posters were done, if you get my meaning. Giving each episode what it deserves based on how funny it can be made.

I have to say, I really don't get the "evidence" poster. I understand that the whips supposedly look like hearts, but even if they did, it's not like Zuko and Katara would notice, nor would they care, since they are trying to violently kill one another right then.

My favs have to be "Timing", "Roku vs. Volcano", and "Insight". All of them are so, so true. "Tea Time" is also in the favs, I thought that as soon as I watched it!!!!

I think mild PG-13 is the limit. Keep it PG to keep it safe. If it has references to "bad things" or questionable actions, don't use it. If it incorporates bad language or innuendo of any sort, don't post it.

It's not just Zuko...it's the show in general...though the root of it is actually Dylan's specualtion-spreading...that's got me down...if that's all I've got to look forward to...well...I've got nothing to look forward to...

On a lighter note...I have several posters made for 309...in a way as foreshadowing as The Puppetmaster ones...well...four of them anyway...

If you're going to let someone else's speculation-spreading get you down, well, there's not much we can do, is there?

You can't expect the world of a TV show, and you can't expect all of it to go exactly how you want. However, we've been promised that Zuko will be redeemed (because I remember that that's where it started) and that other cool things will happen throughout the show, and personality I'm looking forward to the journey. I decided to capture Aang's Heroic Journey (from Campbell's "The Hero With A Thousand Faces") in Motivational Poster form. It's not complete, of course, because Aang's journey isn;t over yet.

Eh, it's kind of an obscure connection. Hamma talked about a waterbender carrying on her tradition when she passed on several times during the episode, and at the end her little "My work here is done" thing kind of made me think. She mentions the legacy of the Southern Water Tribe and it made me go "Hmm, bloodbending as a regional custom...nah, I'll stick with the food."

I'm glad you liked the Man Vs. series.

I was going to try to do them all on Zuko, but when I got to Man vs. Society I'm just like HOMG JET, and it went downhill from there.

This is insulting. I do not have to reevaluate my status of being a Zuko fan because I thought Maiko was a cheese festival that failed to ignite my interest. I am not going to love/enjoy everything he does because it makes him happy. [image]

Edit: That honor goes to Sokka, who is my favorite character. Everyone else gets the unbiased treatment they deserve.

The motivational poster bug started biting me again, so here are a couple more i made.
After seeing Ozai's face in 301, it seemed that a lot of people were really surprised in a "Wow, he's handsome!" way, and in some cases at least, swooning ensued.

As for Ozai, he's just too creepy to look at. I don't find him attractive, and that exact scene makes him look like a rodent. That's only my opinion though, I guess the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is true.

^Exactly! It's weird to have it happen this way, but my sisters and i have been waiting for this dvd, so i'm glad it's going to go ahead and be released. (My sisters haven't even seen DOBS II, since we don't get Nickelodeon, so you can imagine what the end of DOBS Part I was like for them! They don't seem to be in agony tho, lol, but still...) We're not actually allowing any from episodes that haven't aired in the US in this thread at the moment. You can find some from the episodes aired in Canada here...the staff is still debating about what to do with TBR...

I'm glad people are making new posters, and these are all great!!! I can't even choose the best, they are all the best. Some standouts are Seriously, Annimation Error, Bad Boy Appeal, Nice Going, Face Palm, Never Happy and People Person. Really I loved all of them, I don't recall laughing so hard in weeks. Great job everyone and keep them coming. We have some brilliant minds here, and it's always a pleasure to see what they come up with!!!

So many great posters--i just can't name all the ones that made me laugh! Some of my favorites were Uncle's Wisdom, Nice Going, Disappointment, Bad Boy Appeal, The Silver Sandwich (I love that line--i've considered making it my personal motto lol), Angst, and others. Good job, everyone!

Nandi, that has always bothered me as well. Katara just seems to do no wrong, no matter what it is. And poor Zuko, he just can't get it right no matter what. That poster is perfect!

^ In "The Guru," when Katara was immobilized by Ty Lee and captured, she had a scroll detailing plans for the invasion (she was suppsoed to take it to the Earth King, remember?). Azula must have gotten it, since it was never seen again after that scene.

lol I like those last three, especially "Fire Nation Men." Poor Zuko, getting his left tear duct melted... It's interesting that in the other shots, Sokka and Aang were crying on the other side, tho. (Good thing, too, or we wouldn't have that poster.)

Actually, tho, Zuko has cried on both sides since getting the scar, but since it was only in a chibi short, it doesn't really count.

First of all my poster isn't just about bashing a ship. It is about the season 3 as a whole and all the stuff that disappointed me in it; like Iroh's disappearance.

And really saying what one truly feels about a ship is much better behavior than bashing the shippers of a said ship. Which I have seen a lot of in this thread. Which one is worse? I mean seeing how the characters don't exist but shippers do and have feelings. New Poster:

You do have a point there. Bashing shippers is worse than bashing a ship. However, bashing a ship does result in bashing the shipper (if that makes sense). For example, a Maiko shipper could take your poster being "lol, your pairing is awful" which does hurt, you know. So to everyone: lay off bashing of any kind in your posters. Stick to the lulz.

*sigh* Well, shipping is a little touchy for everyone depending on their preferences. I'm assuming that none of the posters were meant to antagonize or demean anyone however it might be safer to have posters promoting your choice ship instead of putting down other ships... either that or we might not have shipping posters =P

I agree with Analeisa that ship-bashing posters ~~even if it wasn't intentional~~ shouldn't be posted anymore. The fans of that particular ship would feel insulted and we're trying to have a good laugh with these motivational posters, but not at anyone's expense.

EDIT:

Empy and I decided to delete the ship-bashing posters on the previous page because they are, in fact, disrespectful towards the shippers. We know no one intended to be disrespectful but it's for the best to stop posting these kind of pictures.

Ship-bashing or any other kind of bashing only hurts people and only cause drama. This thread is intended to have some fun so let's keep it that way.

Silo: Innuendo is like a subtle reference to something else using terms that don't directly relate

most common example, sexual innuendo.... basically anything you can say "That's what she said" to afterwards

Hmmm... off the top of my head I would say GIMP which is similar to Photoshop ~~but more difficult IMO. However merging pictures should be alright... maybe xD~~ or Paint.net which is simpler and might better suite your needs. I know a lot of people have used that prior to upgrading to Photoshop

I guess I'll say it again: Why can't we just type the link to the posters' that either are innuendo-ish or bash a certain ship? AND-put a warning sign to them??? Or was this already explained before???

You can link to innuendo posters, usually we'll infer that that's the reason you're linking the poster. I do not want things more mature than PG-13, however so no cussing or explicit remarks. As for the shipping, it's more delicate than innuendo posters because shippers can be touchy about such posters and in the past it's led to problems. I advise against it, personally unless we can all agree to take such posters, even if posted with warnings, maturely.

Well, if you remember Sokka goes "Air, Water, Earth, Fire, SWORD AND FAN!" (Or something similar to that.) While it did that it showed each character with their correct element.

If you know Captain Planet then you know that each character controls the elements through a ring in order to help better the environment. The beginning theme song is "Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, Heart!" And each picture corresponds the right element with the right character. After that its "With your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"
